10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B) Thread #14

I feel like I am joining the party a little late but wanted to jump in anyway.

We took our third DCL cruise last week (only a little 3 day one) and were so bit by the bug that we booked the 10/24/2009 while on board. Last time we were joined by a bunch of our Sunshine Rewards members and it was so much more fun than when we went by ourselves!! I hope that we can get to know all of you as well and join in the festivities.

Our characters: Me (Tricia), my husband (Kevin), and my daughters Jillian and Cassie. They will be 8 and 6, respectively, when we set sail.

We made fish extenders for the first time for our last cruise and they were really neat. I think I loved some of the little treats as much as the kids did!

I doubt I will be able to keep up with the massive flow of posts that you all are generating, but I hope to be able to participate at least a little and look forward to meeting all of you on board.

I'm Lori traveling with DH (Scott) we have 3 kids. 2 girls 13 and 6 and a boy 4. Those are cruise ages. Jump in and talk anytime. We are a chatty but friendly bunch.

I forgot to say that we have been on 3 DVC members cruises but this will be our first 7 night.

He sits at home all day on the computer. (I'm going to pay for that one)

It's just he and I on the cruise. We're emptynesters, so we can party all we want. I'm sure you'll see pics of our partying before too long. (Are you going to come through for me Nancy?)

No I had a good day really - well, aside from first period, but they are usually like that. I was trying to respond to my mulit-quoted post for the longest time - one interruption after another. It took me so long to get through what was on the baord today that I felt sure as soon as I could get it posted, I would be behind 10 pages again. My time is so limited when I give work 12 hours and try to give my sweet husband some of my time. He deserves more. I want to get to know everyone, so I love being on the board, but I might have to set a time limit for myself.

I did it right away but it wouldn't let me post. Then my fingers got tangled!!

We are newly empty-nesters! We took the DVC Members' Cruise this year to celebrate our empty-nestedness (is that a word? - at this point, I don't care; you all know what I mean) and it was fabulous! I miss my kids; I love my kids; but this is nice. I mean, this is what we are supposed to do right - raise them up to be self-sufficient, productive, honest, hard-working members of society? Ours are on their way, and I am happy to be at this point. I can already see how God is preparing me for the season of grandparenting, and that will be exciting in its time - but this is good!
