Hello everyone,

I have just spoken to the family and they are all getting ready to set of to the Magic (I am soooooooo jealous!!!!) with Jeff & co.

I so wish i was there, unfortunately the only thing I have to console myself with is a roast chicken dinner, and it will be a good one, particularly with treacle tart for dessert, but its hardly 15 nights on the MAGIC!!!!!!

Special message from AFEG to Nancy and Chuck: My Dad says thank you for your lovely present, they will be hanging it from the door with pride and in my Dad's words - you are a very naughty lady but thank you!!

Brenda, hope you have a lovely time in Florida xx

I will keep you all posted if there are any updates from them....
Ciao for now

Jes x

Thanks for the update Jess :thumbsup2 They all must be so excited right about now ::yes::

Hopefully you will be on the BOB cruise with us...only a little over a year away!!! :goodvibes :cool1: :lmao:

Just been checking on flights etc for next Oct....I'm panicking...

We can get a flight out of MCO at 20.40...

(Our preferred flight usually leaves at 18.00)

What the heck could we do for all those hours? We'll have been up early getting off the ship, would you wait for the earlier flight (Virgin Atlantic release them in December) or book this late one?

I've been on the Dibb (uk version of Dis) and loads of people are after the same flights - UK school half term - hence the Virgin Holidays allocation is already gone. Virgin Atlantic release more seats at 336 days til the flight. If we dont get the ones we need we'll be truely stuck. Ellis' school and the cruise dates means we have to fly those particular dates. All other operators either give you pathetic luggage allowance - ie 15kg each - Virgin give you 64kg each - or they are even more expensive.

We were hoping to get flight only as otherwise if we book a package we'll end up paying for a hotel room which will sit empty for the whole cruise time.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh - my heads spinning:faint:

I hope you can get the flight you want Karen! :thumbsup2

I can't even book a flight until 11 months out, so I will start looking in November for our flights next year. But they are usually so high that it's best not to book until a few months ahead, which I hate doing but don't really have a choice. Right now for booking next July, they are $1000 for each seat, that's $3K for us just to fly there :sad2: I think your prices are about the same right? :confused3

Sorry Karen, couldn't resist this one.....:lmao: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KxBMMtOdHA

:lmao: I shopuld have known you'd post that link:lmao:

Karen, you could always take a "Day-Room" at the Hyatt airport after the cruise. That way you could use the pool and shop for all those forgotten souvies right there at the airport. When we cruised in 05 we had the Hyatt booked for the night after the cruise. But since Hurricane Wilma was threatening us we asked about checking in early on that Saturday and they offered us a Day room. I had to explain that we already had a ressie for the night and they just let us check in early for no extra cost. LOVE the Hyatt!!

Nice idea. Just the thought of hanging round for hours kills me. Its a looooong day as it is without the extra wait.

Just had my best workout to date, I said good-bye to 950 calories this morning, and felt so much better than I did yesterday morning!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, I did 75 tummy crunches as well.

Wow! - well done you! - I only managed 400 calories today - wasnt really in the mood

Our flight on our last cruise left about that time from MCO. We decided to spend the day at Sea World. I hadn't been there for 25+ years, and we were able to get a pretty good discount. We got off the ship around 8:30 and were at Sea World around 9:30. I think we stayed until 5-5:30. At the time, I figured I gave the mouse enough money that I could share some love with Anheiser Busch.

Thats just my .02

I am watching airfares as well. My dad has put me in charge of securing our flight arrangements and ground transportation. I typically check the airline websites daily. Last cruise I did this and it paid off as we were able to fly cheaper than it would have cost to drive.

We did think of Seaworld or even the NASA thingy to kill a few hours. Even the flights I dont really want have gone up $300 each since I started looking:rolleyes:

Hey kids! I wanted to let you know that I spoke with Jeff yesterday and then later with AFEG ... sounds like they are having a great time and they're planning on getting to the port bright and early this morning. :cool1: Jeff said the Magic should be leaving around 4:30PM Pacific time (so that should be about 6:30 CST and 7:30 EST).

Hope everyone has a great week - Jason's work anniversary trip to Boca Raton is this coming weekend so we leave for Florida on Friday morning and will be back home late next Sunday evening. I sure hope for our sake, and the sake of everyone else in FL, that tropical storm / hurricane Fay is long gone by then.

Have a good one!

Bendy :goodvibes

Is there a webcam????:yay: Cna we watch them sail away?:yay:

Have a fun trip Brenda:hug:

Yep, the prices are sky high at the moment and keep going up cuz of the fuel surcharges:sad2: - we're looking at $5000 for the three of us to fly so far:sad2: then theres car hire on top, plus accomodation for week 1, then theres park passes, food, shopping:rolleyes1, parking at the airport, oh, and the cruise of course:eek:

Is there a webcam????:yay: Can we watch them sail away?:yay:

Here is a webcam site I was given http://www.watchthewater.org/beach_images.cfm?bid=17&p=52 but I was told it is kind of hit and miss catching the ships as they sail by. I was told to look at views 50 and 42.

I won't be home when the Magic sails later today. We have Jenna's dad's viewing to go to this evening in Philly and I know we probably won't get home until near 9pm, well after the Magic sails.

Just talked to Becky and Jeff as they are waiting to board the Magic in CA. They both sounded so excited. Jeff has boarding pass #3 and Becky has a #4 boarding pass.

I told them, the only better thing then hearing them on the phone, is if I was there in person with them.

Jeff is going to try and post some pics tomorrow, if he can't, he will e-mail some to me and I will post them.

Well, back to paying bills and balancing the checkbook for me.........:rolleyes1

I just got off the phone after talking to Jeff, his DS, Chris, Heather and Becky. They are all soooooo excited!!! :yay: Three of them got #3 boarding passes and one of them got #4 but only after a couple of switcheroos. They are synchronizing their watches to get those Palo ressies none of them could get before.

Jeff will try to check in with us either tonight or tomorrow sometime.

In honor of them all I'm watching Season 1, Part 2 of the Love Boat this afternoon!!

View 42 is real blurry, but 50 is ok. I'll keep looking - what time roughly is it due? (and what is it uk time - I'm dreadful at working it out)

Jeff said they are due to sailaway at 4:15pm PDT which would be 7:15pm EDT and 12:15am tomorrow morning your time in the UK. :scared1:

I just got off the phone with Jeff, Suz, Chris, Heather and Becky and Rachel talked to Rosie  They all sound so excited! They beat the big group there so like Nancy and Andy said they got good boarding pass numbers.
I told Jeff that if we're home Rachel and I will try and catch a picture of the Magic as it sails past the webcam that Andy posted the link to.
Happy sailing Repo BOBers :dance3:

Rach and I are now off to look for a homecoming dress for her :scared1:

It's 11:30am on the west coast, I guess the Repo BOB'ers will be boarding the MAGIC very soon!!! :thumbsup2

I'm getting those butterflies in my stomach again thinking of them getting ready to board the ship.........:rotfl:

Before they know it, they will be eating lunch on the Magic, just like Lina did back in August 2003!!! :goodvibes

Let's not forget the Wonder. The Wonder has gotten lost in all the attention the Magic has received in the repo talk. :sad2:

Chris

In fact, she does not even show up on the TwoPalms cam site for the port shots. The cam is not even looking her way as she sits at the dock at this time. Loading people, luggage, food, and waiting for the sail away party.
