10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #10

I posted this on another thread earlier today as we were talking about how fast our kids grow up:

I know exactly how you feel, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBWVWjdNWC0 and have the tissues ready.

Here's another longer version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXiaXwdH4QE&feature=related

I made my mother cry with this one 19 years ago! I had the singers at my wedding sing it for seating the mother of the bride (my mom!) They sang it beautifully. I'm not at the point of my daughters marrying or going off to college, but we were recently watching videos from when Megan was a baby. It's hard to believe she'll be in 5th grade this year!:cutie:

Andy, I think I may one-up you glutton-wise on our cruise....I plan on stopping by Animators on the 3 regular menu nights during early dinner (we have late dinner) and asking the Maitre D' for a Chocolate peanut butter pie to go :rolleyes1  :lmao: :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You Go Girl!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ok, my time is almost 4pm...since I would be on late seating, I would probably be having a little snack at Pluto's right now :rolleyes1

Sarah's would be pizza instead! She lived on pizza and watermelon for most of the 11-night cruise!

I was surprised on our first DCL cruise. I thought I would literally live at Pluto's but instead Pinnochio's was my snack of choice. In fact, I couldn't stand the burgers at Plutos. I did enjoy the Chicken fingers and Elaine enjoyed the tacos.

Don't let him fool you, if I hadn't been keeping track he (Matthew--EPCOT VA)would have missed a lot on our first cruise... and DID miss most of Pirate Night!:scared1:
On cruises one of my favorite things to do is just wander around. On our first cruise (RCI), the first and last thing I did morning and night was to walk around the promenade deck and just enjoy the ocean, the view, etc. Since we were on RCI's smallest ship, there wasn't a whole lot to do other than wander around..especially with rough seas!

We love wandering the ship as well, even though there is A LOT to do onboard! I love the late-night strolls...it's quiet, not a lot of people are on deck, and the sea is beautiful!

Gotta run for a bit. Megan is begging for dinner now! (Not to mention that the food pics made ME hungry!!)

I love the pictures on there! It makes me wish I had taken pics of our Med Cruise food.:goodvibes It was fabulous!

Hopefully the food will be better on the BOB cruise because I found it lacking in taste this last time. I remember my first cruise, everything tasted AMAZING!!!

Although those dogs and fries were still yummy :goodvibes

O.K., my time for the shower. Parrot Cay tonight.

I'll try to move the pictures from the camera tonight and send them to Andy, Nancy or Paige to post (thanks again guys for offering to post for me).

Talk later.

P.S., Mike did have the theme of why we didn't get into Sessions. However, Christian had a talk with the waitress (more to the story).

P.S.S. Cabo was a blast, felt very hot, but was only 86*. Rain over the mountains now. Not sure if we'll get hit (still sunny).

I guess with all this talk about BAD food, I should post something positive too :goodvibes

So, I am up to a 15 lb loss :goodvibes I now have about 5 pounds to lose before I reach my first goal of getting back to my KK1 weight :thumbsup2

Then I have a second goal to lose 15 more pounds....then my final goal for cruise time is to lose an additional 15 pounds on top of that. I got some major work ahead of me :thumbsup2

But I've had some really great support from my friends  so I think I can do it :thumbsup2

Hi everyone. Just popping in to catch up on PM's before we head out to Cabo. Our tour meets at 10:45, so I only have a few minutes.

Cass, you'll be happy to know that Minnie made a little girl cry on embarkment day. Total B!tch, huh? :rotfl2:

So, not sure which story will tease you guys more, the one about Suz having to actually use/talk to the head server about the service or the one of our group being DENIED access to Sessions last night.

I'll try to post some logs tonight. If not then, it will be on our next sea day. We are in port all day tomorrow at PV.

Talk soon.
Good to hear from you Jeff, but don't tease us like that. We want the stories.

Hello All!!!

Nice pics of all the distags Nancy, just a shame about the horrendous 'Birstall News' tea towel in the middle of it all!!! An error of judgement on my Dad's part, i promise they will be better next year, you know when we back are on the Disney Magic, nudge nudge wink wink...!

Karen, your poem is brilliant!! I have passed your regards onto my Dad - AFEG and co. are today going to the beach. Looking at very clever 'Verandah Man's' gorgeous picture it will no doubt be a rubbish day....not. Rosie told me today that they had seen the server who we had last year, fingers-crossed it was the one we liked and not the one we had to complain about (a lot)....

Congratulations on A/C Cass, unsurprisingly in this country we never seem to need it......

Is anyone else dying to know more from Jeff? That man is teasing us with these tiny morsels of info that he is giving us....it shouldn't be allowed I tell you!!!
You're never to old to vacation with your parents. I wish I had mine to vacation with.

I had to ask when I came to the board too. I thought up all sorts of things that it could be.

OK, time for a little game...

IF YOU WERE ON THE MAGIC RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
(Right now is whenever you are reading this.)
BTW - No fair for the DISers actually ON the Magic to type "Reading the DisBoards"! :yay: (OK, I guess you can type that, but I'd rather hear your great stories instead. :thumbsup2

I'd be at the Goofy Pool with my family participating in some Pool Games?

Does anyone else know Laura (from England) from shipboard entertainment? She's the one holding the net. We kept running into her everywhere. My family would joke about when the next "Laura siting" would be. Each time, she was in a different costume / outfit. She conducted our ship's tour, then she was in an evening gown for the Golden Mickey's, She was a pirate game show host for one activity. You name it, Laura was there!

That's DD Megan with the green goggles and DD Sarah in the black swimsuit crouching down by Megan's left leg.

We had late dining, so we are sitting in a show. I would post a picture but don't know the show line up.
