10/24/09 Bash on the Boat (I'm With BOB) Thread #11

My parents were the only ones in our families who had water in the house. They only had enough to cover the baseboards, but even that much ruined the carpets. Yesterday, they ripped out all of their carpets and started drying out the floors. Much less damage than last time, thank God. The A/C wasn't coming on either and they were hoping that once it dries out, it'll start up again. They plan to put ceramic tile throughout the house now and get area rugs. That way, if and when this happens again, they can just roll up the rugs and take them to higher ground. All in all, they feel very blessed, because it could have been much worse.

Paige. Thank god your parents didn't have too much damage. Prayers are for them to get their house back to normal. Diane

Hi Guys,

We're getting ready to take the "Birthday Girl" and a couple of her friends out to eat for Lina's birthday dinner. It's Lina's choice of where she wants to go, she selected Hollywood Diner in the town next to ours. It's a nice place, we've been there several times in the past.

I've got to go jump in the shower, then put on some nice duds, see ya folks later...........

Hello Everybody

Last week I had terrible week - laptop was broken - send away for repair

then

my computer had been crashing after I deleted one files

It had been wiped out everything, I lost all my photos, email, word processing etc.

then my hoover blown up

then I spilt my coffee all over my knee and I decided to sit down and didnt move my ***!!

No computer for 5 days, oh god I realised how much I missed it

I still upset about photos which I didnt save on cd disc over the disc equipment was not working properly and got fix it last month. Now too late to save all the photos.

I look at nero.com and managed to get my movie back but photos all gone

then my friend texted me as she was heartbroken about her holiday at Florida next month which the package of LX flight!!

But she got good news next few days that her mum managed to changed over another flight.

Anyway, before I went to work and I saw Karen on the TV for few mins as I had to go to work , I said oh that is Karen Mouse, my husband thought I am crazy but I am sure it was Karen Mouse.

Is that you on the TV with Anne???

Am I right or I am mad now??? My husband said How you know her if you never meet her? I said I know her face and I see her photos.

Oh well I am going to bed and try to get over about photos

We had a few trees down. They were oak trees and they just snapped about 6 feet up. I did notice a lot of people lost some shingles. Whew! We didn't. We didn't lose power either, but a lot of people around us did.

Cassie lost power around 1 PM yesterday and it is still out. The power company said it would take another 3 to 4 days to restore it. They also lost a lot of their shingles.

They have a well so they can't even use the bathroom. They have to go to her fiance's parents house. They have city water.
