OK, Laura, you are just tooooo much! BACK AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

On a different note, I need some serious help: My 14-year-old nephew just broke his elbow pretty badly. It's a weird radial fracture, and he'll have to have surgery after the cruise. The doctor crushed him by saying he could go on the cruise but he couldn't do ANYTHING on the cruise. It will be in a sling but not a cast because they want as much range of motion as possible before the surgery.

I disagree with the doctor -- I think there is plenty he can do. I just need some help with coming up with the things he can do. I know there's a Hidden Mickey search that we can get from guest services, but I've been doing so much work on this that I haven't had time to really search out stuff like this. Do you guys have any suggestions? Swimming, basketball, etc., truly are totally out. But I KNOW he can still do stuff. Suggestions?:goodvibes

When I was 14 I loved to just hang out. Didn't really need to do much. Just liked being with my girlfriends and figuring out how to flirt with the boys. Then again I am a girl and I know boys minds function alot different then ours.:lmao:

He will have fun no matter what..but I know it must be difficult to not be able to swim or play any sports, but he will still enjoy the cruise.

For those of you going to WDW early here's a pic I just finished working to get you in the mood....

LOVE IT!!!!!:thumbsup2

Most days "during the season" i put in 10-12 hours....today was 14.5....UGGGHHHH - a couple too many but SOOOO much to finish so i can truly enjoy my vacation....wishing i was finished and on my way though = but first need to go see the 'boy' tomorrow for the weekend!!!!

I've been bitten by the sick bug. I am freaking out. I see no downtime to rest/recover between now and then. Think I am making a dr appt for Monday, in case I am not feeling better

Us also, my daughter went to dr. On monday and tested positive for strep throat and then I felt sick next day and also for on antibiotics for strep. At least we will be done with medicine a day before we fly. Better to get sick now then once on vacation...except it has messed up my packing/shopping for the trip

Another OUTSTANDING photo - Dave. That should go into a frame and on the wall.

we are first time cruisers and so excited!

we are staying about 30 minutes from the boat on Friday night, the night before we sail,

what time should we get to the boat?

We are driving there, should we park in the Disney lot? it seems super expensive,

is there a parking alternative near by?

TIA!!!

Tia,

My advice would be to get to the terminal no later that 1030 am to 11 am so you can check in and be in one of the first several groups called to board the ship. Since you are driving if you stayed at one the the many hotels at Port Canaveral they offer free shuttle and free cruise parking while you are on your trip - which saves a great deal of money. All the parking at the port is the same price - $15 a day. The port parking is provided by the port authority and not the cruise lines. There are several lots and parking towers in different areas at the port in front of the respective cruise line terminals, but all run by the Port Authority. If you could change your reservations to the Radisson at the Port, the Residence Inn or Country Inn and Suites they are all just a mile or two away and are some of the closest hotels with free parking and shuttle to the cruise line terminals. There is no other alternative parking at the port for cruisers. Hope this helps.

Orient Beach - St. Martin. Incredible waves the whole time we were there. Beautiful beach - and yes there was nudity - the kids didn't really care - just slightly amused. Photo doesn't do it justice - beautiful every way you looked.

Even with a limo ride ride it's still cheaper to fly out of Buffalo then YYZ, go figure... :rotfl:

Glad you got things worked out. Who are you flying with? We are on southwest and fly out at 6:15 Friday morning.

Lets hope our cruise doesn't turn into one of these below.....
