I survived the party weekend...but just barely! After 3 nights in heels, I almost didn't make it through our party last night....my feet hurt SO BAD!!!!! As hostess, I didn't want to drink and so when everybody, left John and I sat down and had a glass of wine and then another right after. We went home and I went straight to bed and woke up about 3am with the worst hangover ever! I don't know what's happening to me......I can't drink anymore! Getting old stinks.....
Rose and company: Sounds like a fun meeting in WalMart.....when do we all get to see the photos?
Colleen: love the photo of your kids! I hope Becca is feeling better.
Nancy: If you REALLY want to see Clay up close and personal, you need to come to Raleigh this weekend.....he's doing a book signing at our local mall. I was not planning on going but if you guys come down, I'll personally escort you there. (Norm can play golf with John) We'll even show you the house we own but don't live in! Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed his Christmas concert. I tried to get tickets for the one he had here for NC residents only. Since my dial-up is so slow, I decided to go to the local TicketMaster outlet (we have them in supermarkets here) I was 9th on line and the lady who was 7th snatched up the last 2 tickets and they weren't even for seats next to one another. Apparently everything was sold out in under 5 minutes. The lady who was doing the transaction was so friggin' slow I'm amazed that even the first 6 people got what they wanted. Oh well, I'm not really all that bummed out, it's just that the concert hall he was scheduled to appear in is very small (1600 seats) and I knew it would be a very intimate performance.
We got the outside lights up (very minimal this year) and the tree is up and decorated. Already it's losing needles, but that's probably because it's still so warm here. No word on when my car will be ready......I'm going nuts without it, especially with all the holiday errands I need to do. Can't remember who asked, but no, nobody was injured, thank God......just property damage, which can always be replaced.
