Michele,
if the captain brings us close to the coast of Somalia during our cruise we have more to worry about than just pirates :rotfl2:

Eric, of course I realize that, :earboy2: but if there are pirates there, do you suppose there could be pirates anywhere!? (Besides the ones that we will be having dinner with!) I really didn't think that pirates were still around!

Somalia is one of the poorest countries on this planet - Cruising with a luxury ship along its coast is calling for trouble.
Piracy is still a problem in Africa and in Asia, even in South and Central America were cases reported in the last years.

That just shows you how content I am in my own Little World! I had no clue!! I guess I better pay attention to world news more closely!

Ha,ha...because, believe it or not, she's still at the stage where she finds all guys "annoying"!!! It must be that all that chlorine has gone to her brain.......How is Seth doing, by the way? Is he pursuing a graduate degree or working in the real world?

He's finishing up at Cornell. And now we're doing the college search for Elana. Guess what her first choice is? Cornell. They just love to spend mommy and daddy's money :)

Way to far down the page! Almost couldn't find you guys!

Hope everyone has a great week and that if you had some extreme weather this weekend, came out safe and sound. I thought I was in a weird nightmare this morning, I watched some of that Cat 7 movie on TV last night and woke up to reports of a massive tornado and even power outages here due to severe winds. Had to make sure I was really awake.

I forgot - I think we have decided (as we are taking our first adult vacation together - no mouse -in 2007) that for the 2 days prior to the cruise we are going to stay in Orlando and do Universal (no IOA) and SeaWorld. As we get closer to cruising and know what vehicle we will be taking, we might be able to assist in a carpool. Have a great and "Magic"al day!:sunny:

Denise -- Good thing you posted or I don't know where Cruisetoberfest would be on this board. I had trouble finding our thread, too. Tornado in Michigan? For some reason, it doesn't seem as tho you should get them there. We definitely got a lot of them in Illinois and I heard about the Indiana tornado this morning -- really bad with 22 people dead. Science sure hasn't found any solutions to controlling Mother Nature, has it?

Eric -- There was a full page article in the business section of the Charlotte Observer yesterday titled "Why Germany Loves the Charlotte Region So Much". Among other things of interest: German-owned firms in NC provide more than 30,000 jobs and more than $4 billion in investment. In SC, there are more than 22,000 jobs and $4.5 billion in investment. It also noted that 10% of the students in Charlotte's Pfeiffer University MBA program are German. Very interesting!

Weather continues to be beautiful here. Sunny, warm and breezy with no rain (unfortunately we need rain, but it's much more pleasant without it).

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers! :sunny:

I thought I would give us a boost back to the top!

It's Tuesday! What can we say about that? HHmmm, nothing I guess! The boys have a short school week since they have Friday off for Veteran's Day, so I guess we are almost 1/2 way through the week!

Mother Nature has graced us with scattered rain and thunder showers. Daisy and I were able to get in a mile between the storms. Now it is getting very dark and I hear thunder off in the distance. :umbrella:

Going to have lunch with a neighbor after going to the podiatrist and picking up my custom made insoles! If I bought the stock ones, they were $30, if I bought the custom ones, with my insurace, it was only $24! That $6 will buy my lunch! :drinking1

Also going to try and get to Best Buy to pick up Willy Wonka and Christmas with the Kranks. I read the book, Skipping Christmas while on Castaway Cay last year. It was perfect since, really, we were Skipping Christmas! I didn't decorate last year...although I did put out anything that was snowmen...I didn't bake, I did nothing, although we did spend Christmas Day at US/IOA. It was day much like today, cold and rainy, but it was Christmas Day! it was all good!

Off to get ready for my day! Enjoy yours!

Well,THAT is totally unacceptable! How in the (disney) world did we fall off of page one?? Where the heck is everyone today?

I didn't make it to Best Buy, we'll go tomorrow, but I did give Daisy a bath and then we had our last puppy class tonight! I am sort of glad it's over! Just one less thing I need to run hither and yon for!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed your Tuesday! Probably won't be on first thing tomorrow. Steve joined the county gun club and we are going to go and practice shooting tomorrow. Should be interesting. I have very little experience with this!

I hope to hear from someone by tomorrow! I hope the pirates didn't kidnap ya'll!

Hi Michele,

I think you need to check out your e-mails. Find the one with the subject, "The Last List?"

Michele hope that you and the family have a great time at WDW. Nancy glad that you made it through the world with you back problems. Mike

The lights are on, but no ones home! That was cute!

Did I miss a day? Because I'm at work and if it is Sat I'm leaving now.

Are you really decorating for the holiday?

Nancy

I want the pleasure of Fri night first please! As for decorating - at least another month before our tree ect will go up.
Wendy
