marianne...it takes about one hour to get to the port from the airport/WDW. Forget about the Radisson, the real party is at Ron Jon's (right Kim, Bette and Reneé???)

Yes, Definitely!!!

Love the ships Bette & Kim.

Reneé

Ave and Family ... Please take it easy on your vacation and stay safe. Have Fun!

Bette & Kim ... Just love the Ship and your "name" smilies! BTW, how did you make out with your little project ... No injuries?

Piglet or whoever ... How do we get the um'laut over the letters A O and U?

AshLee update ... she seems to be feeling a little better every day. Whoever said animals are dumb is the real dummy. She knows she has to get her tail area washed and powdered twice a day and and she comes over to the sink and assumes the position; then she just waits around for her meds ... I don't call that dumb. Baby'd maybe! I got a real nice Thank You card for her petiatrician and just have to pick up a nice box of Gertrude Hawk Candy to go with it ... cause they were so caring and nice.

Hope Mike & Kathy (Papa and Mrs Papa) get home safe from their trip to Texas this weekend.

:earseek:  :earseek: OK it's Thursday night and just what do we watch in the SURVIVOR time slot? Must admit that this is my favorite night for TV. Love the CSI and Without A Trace too.

Gotta go ... Wish I could take a longer break cause I worked out of the office yesterday and I swear someone dumped a mailtruck of work on my desk.

To get the é, you have to press alt plus 0233 (on the number pad)--thanks for that tip, marianne!! I don't know how you get it on the o or u! Do you know any other tips, zapp1213???

Marianne,
don't let those RonJon-Outcasts influence you - The Radisson is where the fun is at :teeth:

Cathy,
it's good to hear that AshLee is on the mend - And it's great to hear how smart she is. ::yes::

Here's a link to the complete ASCII-Table
Just hold down the ALT-key and punch in the respective three-digit-number taken from the first column of the table. Use the numeric pad on the right hand side of your keyboard for the numbers, doNOT use the numbers in the top-row above the letters, this won't work.

Eric,

Thanks for posting this.

I just copy and paste to get the é LOL! It's easier for me to remember.

Glad to see we have at least one other Packer fan onboard. Hope we'll be able to get the game on Sunday in Diversions (it's on Fox). We've been lucky on our last two cruises -- Monday night then Sunday night and two wins! We should cruise more often during football season -- especially during the playoffs :teeth:

Eric ... Guess you can say that this thread is educational and fun too! Thanks for the table. My German officemate appreciates it.

Hi Jill,

When the T-shirt Logo's are finished by the designers then everyone will get an e-mail with the t-shirt logo file attached. You can then print the logo on special iron on paper and iron onto your t-shirts.

For those that are not comfprtable with doing this themselves some of us can help you with printing the iron on transfers.

Bye, Kim

THANK YOU! I am sure it is the 20th time it's been posted! Can't wait....

Too bad I'll miss the take over of the terminal, but I think being on the ship already will be a good reason to miss it! Hee, hee! :hyper: I'll meet up with you guys for the sail away, Mickey Hands and all!

Thanks, Eric. You took my opportunity to show everyone how smart I can be. My question was going to be "What's an um'laut?"

WOW! Radisson vs. RonJon's. Sounds dangerous. I may just be safer in Orlando!

twhipple--you saw games on previous cruises? We went opening day in 2002, and ESPN zone wasn't showing football. Hubby was SOOOOOO upset  He swore, never again (and here we're going in October)

Well, gotta get back to work. Thanks everyone for the entertainment.

Marianne

Marianne -- Sunday and Monday night games are on ESPN and ABC -- Disney owned. We saw the Monday night game in the ESPN Zone and the Sunday game in Diversions. We're keeping our fingers crossed for a three-peat of viewing and winning! Tell your hubby he just has to cruise with us to see the games LOL.

An Umlaut is an A, O or U with dots above it: Ä, ä, Ö, ö, Ü, ü. But you can replace the dots by a trailing 'e', i.e. ä=ae. I'll explain the pronounciation during the cruise ;) Or here's an example:
'A' in German is pronounced like 'U' in 'hut', to make it sound like your 'A' in 'man', we put the dots on it.
Those of you who have been in the Forces over here, you may remember 'The German phrase of the day' on AFN Europe. We can do that on the ship :jester:

I don't wanna disappoint you, but are you sure that you'll be allowed to stay on the ship? When we once inquired about a back-to-back cruise, we were told that we could leave our stuff in the stateroom, but would have to leave the ship. They do some heavy-duty cleaning, maintenance, catering, etc. Our TA told us that they offer i.e. a tour of Kennedy Space Center to keep you occupied, but off the ship.

Way to bust my bubble, Eric! We did inquire...we were told we would need to vacate our stateroom for cleaning (we have the same stateroom for both cruises, so our stuff can stay). I did get two seperate answers regarding the "re-check in". In both cases, we could stay on the ship for the majority of the time, however one CM stated we would need to check in at the terminal, another person (I forget if it was our TA or a CM) said we would be able to stay on the ship and check in at guest services. So, I figure as long as I get all the laundry done, I don't care too much. I also posted about that here, and it seems that everyone who has done back to backs has had a little different protocol to follow, but the only one who had to officially disembark was a Canadian citizen....perhaps it depends upon being a US Citizen. Who knows!?!

The international contingent will be at the Radisson. :bounce:

It will be a friendly rivalry with everyone meeting for dinner at the Grills (although we'll have to see who gets to the boat first!!)

Wearing the t-shirts is a lot of fun at the terminal. We knew that Eric and Anja had already checked in because the CM at the desk said he'd seen the t-shirts already and we said yup and there were from Germany! He was amazed that we knew and then we explained about the disboards etc. After we boarded all the CM's we spoke too told us that we were way behind everyone else!! They couldn't believe how many t-shirts they had seen.

Maybe on the back of the T-shirts we should have Ron Jon's or Radisson.

Fiona

Cathy or Bettemom Hmmm Tough choice lol ...

Boston Pétér...would love to come over for lobster but....I'm almost afraid to say this to someone from New England...Sarah and I don't like lobster..the only seafood that her and I eat are scallops!! The bibs will make quite a picture. Sam likes lobster though so we'll have to bring McDonalds with us!! How far are we going to be from you? looks like it might be all interstate--I know that Lincoln is right off of interstate 93.

bette and Kim...love the new graphics! Especially the shark!!

The party is definitely at Ron Jon's...we got to the Radisson last year and the only party people there were Avé, tulirose and Rich and Fiona and Jim--we arrived around 8:30 p.m. and the party people were already in bed!! Just remember that Kim and Bette know how to throw a party!!
