DS is in a climbing phase. Loves to climb over everything - up the stairs, all over the props when he was getting his picture made, etc. Any toy suggestions for Christmas? We got him a convertible, but others are still asking.
When my dd was that age she loved to climb, on the tables, on the sofa anywhere she could. It was driving me nuts. The pediatrician recommended getting her a small slide for inside so she could have something she was allowed to climb on etc. That was the best $50 we ever spent on the kids (we got one that had a little fort). All her firends would line up to play on the slide!
It was IDEAL and used many many years by both our dd's in our finished basement. You have to find ways to say yes instead of no all the time to make no have meaning. For us it was "you may not climb on the ______ if you are in the mood to climb you must climb here". At first you have to remove and take him/her to the climber but after a while they just climb on the climber. If your toddler gets to that must climb stage in the bad weather then an indoor climber or a trip to an indoor park a few times a week can work wonders..... Until the next phase LOL.
