What would you recommend for non character dining experiences. Preferably something that offers non seafood options. We have Le Cellier booked but would like another good option, hopefully something in parks or something that is not too difficult to get to with Trasportation. I am booking 1 or 2 dinners for a young couple but only to use 1 TS credit. thanks.

In the parks I like:

MK - Liberty Tree Tavern (characters at dinner only)
EP - Biergarten, Marakesh, Chefs of France
DS - Prime Time 50s
AK - Nothing

In the resorts some good choices would be:
Boma - AKL
Yacht Club Galley - Yacht Club
Whispering Canyons - Wilderness Lodge
Ohana - Poly
Grand Floridian Cafe - Grand Floridian
Kona - Poly (our favorite non-signature restaurant)

All restaurants offer non-seafood options, even Flying Fish and bluezoo.

I suggest
Kona Cafe (Polynesian)
Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Garden Grill (Epcot)
Restaurant Marrakesh (Epcot)
House of Blues (Downtown Disney)

In addition I have heard good things about (but have not experienced)
Wolfgang Puck Cafe (Downtown Disney)
Turf Club (Saratoga Springs)
Teppan Edo (Epcot)

For the Magic Kingdom, their choices for non-character meals are limited. There is the Plaza Restaurant and Tony's Town Square. We've eaten at the Plaza and liked it. We have never eaten at Tony's but are planning on eating there in June, 2008.

For Epcot, another great table service meal is Coral Reef. The atmosphere is good and the food is good. One entire wall of the Coral Reef is the Living Seas aquarium.

At MGM Studios, we like the Sci-Fi. The atmosphere is great. The restaurant looks like a drive-in theater. You sit in little cars and watch old movie clips. The food is not outstanding but we've always been pleased. Another option would be Mama Melrosa's. We haven't eaten there just because the menu doesn't appeal to us.

There are no table service meals (yet) at Animal Kingdom besides Rainforest Cafe which isn't on the DDP. Yak & Yeti is supposed to be opening soon but they aren't taking ADRs until later on. Reservations will be taken on a walk-up basis. Since the Animal Kingdom closes earlier than the other parks, they could take a bus over to Downtown Disney and eat at one of the restaurants participating in the DDP. We really like Planet Hollywood. We've eaten there over a half dozen times and have always gotten great service and good food. Since they are a young couple, they would probably like the atmosphere.

i think i am looking for Coral Reef as an option. Also in DTD does
Wolfgang puck and Planet holleywood by on the dining plan? Where exactly in DTD are they, West side or Marketplace?

Both Wolfgang Puck and Planet Hollywood are on the dining plan and on the West Side. I would think Wolfgang Puck Cafe would be by far the better value for a TS credit.

Be aware that Wolfgang Puck also has a fancy Dining Room that is just upstairs from the Cafe, more expensive and not on the dining plan. There is also Wolfgang Puck Express in in the Marketplace, on the dining plan as a CS location.

Kona Cafe (Polynesian)
Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Restaurant Marrakesh (Epcot)
Turf Club (SSR)
Concourse Steakhouse (Contemporay)
1900 Park Fare (GF)
Coral Reef (Epcot)
Whispering Canyon (WL)
