Has anyone used it? Would love to hear your reviews.

Thinking about getting this for the hard-to-buy-for men in our family for Christmas. They have three options - looking at the $6/month one.

Thanks

I use it, I joined about two years ago. Saves me tons of money. Only costs me $9 every other month. I buy a tube of their Shave Butter every other month so the price goes up to $17 those months. I love it.

I was spending about $36/4 times a year at Costco for DH razors, now we spend $6 every other month, LOVE,LOVE,LOVE Dollar Shave Club and I don't have to remember to buy his razors. (He says they are very similar to Gillette, he gets the 4 blade.)Win-Win!!!

My husband started using this several months ago, and he loves it. No more running out of blades and so much more cost effective. We are very happy with it too!

I started using it for myself a couple months ago. I plan on setting up a shipment for DH once we run out of the blades I last bought for him. I'm very happy with it!

I was also thinking about doing this for my boyfriend. Quick question, is it easy to set up the every other month delivery?

DH and I both use it (and have for about a year or so, I think). I LOVE it. DH gets the highest-quality blades and I get the next step down. They are a very easy company to deal with!

When you do your initial account info, you can set it up right away, also they have an option, if you want to delay for a month.

I was wondering about the every other month and ease of setting up.
But I don't understand your answer. Delaying for a month means that it will be delayed a month after each delivery? Thanks!:goodvibes

I'm a member and I love it. I'm on the middle level razor for $6 and I also signed up for the "not so hairy" plan and they send me new blades every other month. I would definitely recommend!

Ah, that makes sense. A 'not so hairy' plan. Got it!

If you're just looking for inexpensive razors, be sure to check out Dorco (available on Amazon). They're actually one of the suppliers for the Dollar Shave Club. I ran across them when I was checking out reviews for the Dollar Shave Club.

Well, my husband got his razors and really likes them.
I ordered the butter and he was skeptical at first, but agrees it is great for his skin.

He always rinses out his razors carefully and dries them to get more wear out of them.
But with the butter he found it difficult. I took on the job (I love stuff like that!).
I ran my Keurig hot water over the razor and into a clean white cup. This is after he cleaned it.

EEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. But the razor is really clean now!:thumbsup2

Ditto. Unless you value the monthly deliveries, I found it MUCH cheaper to just order the blades directly from Dorco. I can handle storing a years supply of razors ;p

Is there one particular blade that is more cost effective thru Dorco?
My husband uses the 3-blade and they seem to be about $1 each, unless I'm not finding the larger quantities.

I didn't even know DSC had a three blade. I was looking at the 6. DSC charges approx $2.25 per cartridge ($9 per month for 4 cartridges). Dorco sells the same ones in a 6 pack (24 total cartridges) for $30, so only $1.27 per cartridge.

But yeah, the 3 blades they sell in the 6 pack come out to about $1 per, so if that is what you are paying for DSC then the savings must not be as significant on the razors with fewer blades. Though they do sell the 2 blade cartridges for about $0.76 each

Thru DSC they are $6 for 4, so Dorco is a little less. Food for thought.

Thanks!:goodvibes

PS Can I assume that the razor that DSC club sent will also work with Dorco razors?
