1 person in party doesnt show

So I have someone who thinks they want to go and therefore wants me to add them to my reservation, what happens if they end up not wanting to go in the end?

Do I still get my table or do I lose out on my reservation bc all 5 are not there?

I had reservations for 3 all week, and it turned out to be 2. Never a problem

I've had ADRs booked for 5 guests and only 4 actually show. I just explain upon check-in that one of our party members was unable to join us and that we now need a table for 4 instead of 5. I think the only real issue is when you book for a party of 4, but show up with 5+ guests.

There may also be an issue if you are booking a restaurant where a credit card hold is required to avoid no-shows. Right now that's just a couple of restaurants, but if you are making reservations after October 26 you may want to check out the credit card hold thread on the Reservations board (where I'm moving this thread).

The best thing to do is put them on the reservation, and then call WDW-DINE and remove them as soon as you find out they are not coming.
