greetings,

first trip to disneyland cal., also first trip to southern cal.. time as always the major factor. looking to purchase tickets ahead of time for june trip. do we need 2 days for dl experience or can this be done in 1 day. thanks for any help ahead of time. :confused3

Most of us would agree 3 days would be the bare minimum to do both DL and DCA, especially for your first trip. Don't even try to do it in one unless you really can't go longer.

Yep, what she said. :cool1:

At least 3 days, all depends on when and what days of the week.

You can't do D/L in one day anymore. 2 days for sure(only if you have the stamina to open & close).Maaayyybe a few hours @ DCA,or not. :confused3
But DO have FUN. :thumbsup2

Yup! Yup! Three days minimum to get the full Disneyland Experience. You might be able to do it in 2 days like darph nader said if you open and close the park and do not stop in between AND its a weekday (but what fun is that?). But then you miss the fireworks and that is just unacceptable. The fireworks are NOT TO BE MISSED.

And it's not the during the 50th Anniversary or ever during the summer or Christmas Break! We're planning 4 days this summer and I know we won't get to do everything we want.

Definitely!!

I am planning 3 days, and one of those days going to be Christmas......I couldn't do any more so I am going to be happy with what I got because I'm going to Disneyland and that doesn't happen all the time. I know I never will be back because WDW airfare :cool1: is cheaper to get to and to be honest WDW is home to me.

If you do 2 days, you won't get the full experience but you can get most of the highlights, plus the 2-day is a hopper and you can spend a few hours at DCA to get a feel for what that is like as well as a couple of rides. With one day, I would be so worried about what I missed that it would not be much fun. Read HydroGuy's fastpass tips; that will help you maximize attractions in a short amount of time. Really, wise use of FP can get you on all the best rides in 1 or 2 days without wasting your time waiting in line. My general rule for lines is no more than 20 minutes, 30 if we have the time and it is something we really want to do. Without FP you can be in line up to 2 hours at times.
