I will be staying for 7 nights and have narrowed my choices to the following, but still have too many? Please share your opinions on what I should cut. I have DS's 6/8/9.
HDDR--hope this will be a fun way to kick off our 1st night
Teppanayki--feel pretty strongly about this one for the "fun"
Coral Reef--feel conflicted here based on limited menu/spotty reviews
Le Cellier--booked this based only on rave reviews but not a steak fan???
SCI FI/Prime Time ( one for lunch/one for dinner-planning a full day at MGM w/ fantasmic)
Marrakesh--again feel pretty stongly based on "fun" and ambiance
Spoodles-food sounds great
Kona Cafe-food sounds great
So I have 8 dinners, and 7 nights. I'm not really thrilled w/ having dinner at either of the MGM choices but figure it will be too inconvenient to eat dinner somewhere else on my MGM day. I'm sure we would enjoy dinner at Mama Melrose more, but hate to miss the "experience" of the other two. But then again I am nervous because from what I've read here you are not guaranteed an "experience" at Prime Time.(We have no interest at all in the menu)

Thanks for any input. I have learned sooo much here!

I'd say either LC or CR, but if I had to choose between those, I'd say drop CR.

Same answer from me. Although the boys would enjoy watching the fish.

4 of your meals are in Epcot and a 5th is in an Epcot resort. Will you be in Epcot that often during your trip? I would drop Coral Reef and whatever day you go to Animal Kingdom, I would go over to Animal Kingdom Lodge and eat at Boma. It is a very good buffet.
We ate at Kona recently and the coconut chicken dish was fantastic.
We have eaten at Marrakesh and I actually like the Tangeriene Cafe counter service in Morocco better. I base that on the food and not the atmosphere.
I have always enjoyed LeCellier and also enjoyed Spoodles.
Good luck in making your decision.

You're not a steak fan? Neither am I, but I go to LeCellier with my family who are all dedicated carnivores. I have yet to find anything there that impressed me. :earsboy:

I think I'd drop an epcot one as you are there o much, and out of those I'd drop Coral Reef, or possiblty Le cellier based in the fact you are not a steak eater.

I would knock out the Coral Reef for dinner although if you really want the kids to see it, think about lunch there instead. They can eat kid food so what you like is more important. I don't like the Sci Fi/Prime Time but I would think the kids would like Sci Fi better (mine did). Again I would do this at lunch unless you have the free dining. Are you staying on property? If so I would think about going back to the hotel and rest and then go to dinner later. Lunch and dinner in the same park can be exhausting for young children. I would highly recommend Boma's for all of you. The food really isn't too exotic and go early and tour the hotel. The kids will love seeing the different animal stations. This palce is just beautiful and it will be the highlight of your trip! Have fun! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

HI I also just drop my ADR for Coarl Reef

I know so many places to eat.
good luck :goodvibes

have a great trip :thumbsup2

Wow, alot of votes to cancel Coral Reef. I booked strictly for the aquarium but the menu is iffy, even though we are big seafood fans--a very ODD menu...maybe there is some other way to do it, like dessert at an off time. Le Cellier is because it seems to be the "it" place to go, but I'm wavering....thanks so much for the responses. Yes, alot of time at EPCOT, but we're staying at POP so nothing is real convenient so we have to venture out nightly.

bsmcneil, glad to see you've weathered the "ADR" thread and survived to post again. Too Much!

I am going to go against the flow and say drop Teppanayki. the food is ok...and fun depends on your chef. The food definately not as good as my local Japanese hibachi grill place. guess thats why i would drop, it we eat there all the time! but i guess if you don't have anything like this in your hometown...then i don't know!

I'm glad to see the last reply. As I was reading the others, I was really wondering...

Teppanyaki was OK, but nothing special. We have 2 different Japanese steak house restaurants here, both of which are better than the one at Epcot and much cheaper. I'd drop this and visit one closer to home at a later date.

lol, too much indeed. Yeah, we had Le Cellier reservations but then dropped it in favor of WCC (surprised i didn't keep both, aren't ya! ;)). I'm a fan of steak, too, but I figure I can do without it. I don't know about you, but we decided to pay OOP for breakfast at Kona (just to try the sickening mess that is Tonga Toast) since that'll be a LOT cheaper than paying for another meal. also, i'm cheap/thrifty, so i don't believe in using DDP for breakfast. are you on DDP/does that help?

Whatever you do, keep Spoodles. It's our favorite.

I would drop Teppanyaki. It was okay, but not really anything special. IMO

Have a grat time! :cool1:
