I'm right there with you! I can't wait to get away to a place that is full of magic! We leave Friday! We go every year during Mardi Gras, and this year we need it more than anything!

we went four years ago during Mardi Gras. It was cool in the morning and at night, but warm during the day!!

We're from Mandeville, too! Unfortunately, we just got back. It was a GREAT trip. Hope you guys have fun! I'll save ya some beads!

I think about half of my son's kindergarten class will be there with their families next week (along with us)! Expect to run into ALOT of people that you know!

I'm thinking of bringing extra beads to pass out to folks for fun (I just happen to have a few hundred extra beads around here- our parades have been rolling since Feb. 4th!)

We will be falling into the caravan with you as you pass through good ole Alabama. Don't forget we will be into full swing with our Mardi Gras. Watch for back ups at the Wallace tunnel. Our hearts remain united with all our Gulf Coast survivors. That darn Katrina blew my Mom here from MS and didn't come back and get her. Woo-Hoo! We leave in 4 days and my kids don't know anything about it! I am worried because the Unofficial Guide has sat and Sun listed as a "9" for park attendance. I thought Mardi Gras was supposed to be light crowds? It will be nice to escape all of this craziness in the happiest place on earth.

Another long time lurker here.... I have been to WDW many, many times in the past, but this will be a trip of many "firsts" for me. My first trip as a "grown up" with my parents, my first trip since being married without my husband, my first trip with my children (ages 5 and 7), my first time in a moderate resort (POR), our first Feb. trip (we usually go during the summer), and the first time I have gone to WDW and not visited all of the parks. We are doing AK and 2 days at MK. My parents "gave" us the trip as a Christmas present and we can't wait !!!! Feb. 25 - March 1st !!

What is everyone packing clothes-wise for your trip? Suggestions? I have long pants, short sleeves and jackets/sweatshirts. Any one else?

We're not from Mardi Gras country, but we'll be headed south from Birmingham on Friday! Packing the same as you Tiffanie. Accuweather's forecast has been all over the place.

Another Mobilian heading down. This will be our 6th Mardi Gras Trip. Can't wait.

We fly out of New Orleans on Sunday and will be at Disney from the 26th to March 4. We can hardly wait!! We are taking my mom with us and this is her very first trip. I think I will wait until later this week to decide what to pack. The forecast seems to change every day!!!
