Well I took the plunge today and bought 3 Premium APs from the Disney Store. My only question is a little complicated that no one seems to be able to answer. Does Disneyland ask for your ID when you take your APs to the park. Not after you get your picture taken and all that but before. I ask because I don't have an ID, not even a ID card. My husband does but I dont. On the back of my Annual AP it says "Present this ticket with Photo ID" which would really suck because I dont have a photo ID. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually been carded there when they got them.

I've never been asked for an ID when entering the park with my AP. The only time I can imagine them asking for one is if your photo really doesn't look like the person using the AP.

Edited b/c I obviously didn't read your question right: When you go to the bank to get your photo for your AP, you will need to present a photo id.

:) I bought my ap's from von's/safeway and when we entered the park no id's were asked for but they did ask for them when we got our picture taken.

you might want to call to make sure you don't need it when you take your picture. :)

Do you have a credit card with your picture on it? Or a Costco card? Otherwise, why don't you just go and get yourself an id? How do you normally do things without an id? :confused3 Just wondering-not trying to sound mean or anything! :goodvibes

I dont know how I have skirted around not having an ID for so long. Since I dont have a license, my husband is worried that if I get my ID card, I'll have no reason to get a license so up to this point he's said no to an ID. But now, I'm going to have to go get one, and hope it arrives in time. Thanks for the help everyone!!

I don't know about answering your question, but I do believe you should have some sort of ID, even if it is not a driver's license...and I would recommend you keep that ID on you while you were at DL just in case you got seperated and something were to happen to you {from a medical standpoint}...just trying to look out for your safety~but I can relate becuase my babysitter doesn't drive either!

Yes, they do ask for your ID. We just upgraded our 2fers to Premium APs last weekend. When you walk up to the teller and tell her/him what you want, she/he asks for your ID and your phone number. She/he needs your ID to verify it's you and your info that will be on the AP.

I would say go to the DMV and get one and pray it gets there in time..

EDIT: Do you have a passport? That counts as ID. Nevermind, because now that I'm typing you need an ID to get a passport.. Scratch that..

 Can you get a passport in time - a standard one in Australia takes 1-2 weeks, but can be rushed within 24 hours for some $$$ and a good enough reason

And once you have a passport, well, you could then travel overseas.

Not sure how it works in CA, but in AZ, you get your ID or driver's license while you're at the DMV. It's not mailed to you.

You don't have an ID, do you have a driver's license?

sorry but it's strange that you don't have an ID

Yep, they'll be asking for it when you go in to the bank to get your picture put on it and everything. I'd go down and at least get a regular ID card. Not sure how you go through life with no ID! I use mine all the time!

Haha yah I don't know how I've managed either, guess I've just never really needed one lol I am going to go Tuesday and apply for an ID card and I really hope I can get it since my trip will be just about a month away at that point. My husband told me I should take my old school ID, my birth cert, my marriage license and my driver's permit hahaha that just about covers everything I have but I guess its really time for me to get an ID lol

I would think you would get it in time, last time i had to go update my picture on my license and had it within two weeks. . . but yes, you do need your birth certificate, for the name change the marraige license and i'm not sure but you may need your SS, check on the dmv site. .

Good luck!

They also will ask for a picture id whenever you use a debit or credit card to pay for stuff. (Which I really appreciate!)

I would highly recommend getting some sort of state issued ID.

Me too! On my debit/credit cards I wrote "SEE ID" on the back of them so in case they ever get lost/missing/stolen and tried to get used the cashier can ID them..

But even now some cashiers look at it and don't ID me. Doh. :headache:
