My 180 days is next Saturday and I still can't decide on one more dinner ADR - Thanksgiving of all days! Assuming that both restaurants are available - it's between 1900 Park Faire and WCC.

Here's my group:

DH 37 - loves food
Me 37 - likes food - the only female usually (except this time)
DS 12 - will do anything
DS 6 - will do anything
Step-Dad 66 - loves food
Mom 63 - thinks she won't eat a lot until she finds something she really likes!

Here's what I'd like to get - all for dinner unless marked :

Thursday (before Thanks)- MVMCP - Crystal Palace
Friday - MGM - Mama Melrose's Fantasmic
Saturday - Epcot - LeCellier
Sunday - AK - Boma
Monday - MK - Ohana
Tuesday - MK - Chef Mickey's
Wednesday - MGM - Sci-Fi lunch
Thursday - AK - ?????????????????
Friday - Ohana's Breakfast
- Coral Reef - dinner

That makes:
Buffets - 4 (3 are character)
Sit-Downs - 5 (I grouped Ohana's dinner in this one)

I would love to go to 1900 Park Faire - I don't get much girly stuff with 2 boys, but my DH and step-dad would really like that platter from WCC.

Ugh! What would you do?? Thanks! :)

I would definitely choose WCC. My family really enjoys it. On the other hand we are less than impressed with 1900 Park Fair. It has actually been crossed off of our list for future visits. In addition to mediocre food, the character interaction was very brief and not exciting (even for this princess fan.)

You have some great choices! I hope you gt everything you want!

I love both restaurants!! But since you have boys they probably won't like the Cinderella theme!! So I think WCC would be better for your group!!

Depends if you want to please your family or yourself.

I'm sure everyone would be happy enough with the food at either restaurant. The question is if your DS's will be thrilled with Cinderella. Of course you're the planner, you could make yourself happy with one meal.

Our calendar looks similar!! I jave a post with this same question. I think I rule out WCC though.

Looks like you picked great places to eat! We are going to make ADRs at a lot of the same places for our upcoming trip. We have done 1900 PF for dinner and the character interaction was great...food was okay. We are trying WCC for dinner. It sounds like your sons and other family members would like the entertainment here.

With 2 boys in your group, I'd go with WCC.

Having said that, not to mess with your dining choices, but my parents are also in their 60's and met us in WDW last month for 3 days. We took them and our 2 kids to Liberty Tree lunch and everyone loved the food, especially my parents. We also went to ESPN Club on the boardwalk (on our Epcot day, we just snuck out the International Gateway and walked to Espn, then back into Epcot after our meal). Both restaurants we took our parents to were huge hits. Just fyi.

As you have boys I have to say WCC. Personally I would choose 1900 park fare for myself but I have two girly princess fans.

Thanks everyone for your votes. My mind kept saying WCC which I know we would all enjoy, but the girl in me kept saying 1900.

You're right FigmentFinder, I wanted 1900 for me - having boys takes the Princesses out of the trip. However, we've never been to the Grand Floridian so I was thinking about that too. ;)

Now we'll just have to see what's available.

If your going to be at Ak that day why not dine at Yak and Yeti? It's very good and be sure to have the wonton dessert. YUM!

If your set on PF or WCC then I would go with WCC.

1900 PF for TG dinner based on your poll

However, I would do something completely different than your poll.

I would go to Boma for TG dinner after leaving the park. You will get an unbelievable and memorable meal there anytime and I'd think they'd add a few more treats for the holiday.

I would change the other Boma ressie to Breakfast before heading into the park that day. If you didn't do that at least switch that ressie to Tusker House at AK.

I've spent TG in Vegas before and was completely wowed by the buffet at the Bellagio. I had eaten there on a non holiday and really enjoyed it, but the TG meal was just ridiculously wonderful. My gut tells me Boma could be the same wow factor. Perhaps someone who has been there for TG could confirm.

Keep in mind the main thing that will make your TG meal great is the family you'll be with, so don't let the restaurant choice drive you CRAZY. That will be the family's job. lol

Thanks septbaby, the more I think about it, the more I like the Boma for Thanksgiving idea. I think what I will do is just switch the Boma and WCC on our AK days.

I love Chinese but I'm just not excited about Yak & Yeti? My step-dad doesn't like Chinese that much which is probably why.

ProudMommyof2 - When deciding I had also originally thrown Kona Cafe in there. It had been either Grand Floridian or Kona, I liked Kona better and then widdled it down to WCC and 1900.

My 180 is so close, I'm getting nervous!!!!! The last time we went with the DDP I made my trip ressies in August and we went in October and I got everything. It was so easy, now I"m worried. :scared:

I appreciate everyones help and ideas though! Who would think it would be so difficult?:)

I agree. We did the 1900 Park Faire dinner last year and we were a little disappointed. Nothing really for the kids. The rolls were "like rocks" my DS said. I did like the strawberry soup (chilled). It just wasn't as fun as the other character meals we've done. It also felt very cramped.

Why? Not because I've had Thanksgiving dinner there, but we have had Turkey Day dinner at Artist Point. I can tell you that Wilderness Lodge is so beautiful during the holidays and has a particularly nice feel for Thanksgiving. The food at Artist Point is good all year round, but for Thanksgiving, it took on a whole new meaning of delicious. 1900 park fare, I don't believe, will have the same warm atmosphere for Thanksgiving.

Just my 2 cents....

Plus WCC is fun.

Even with the boys I would do 1900 Park Faire, while WCC can be fun, I found a few years ago 2 reasons why not to do that on Thanksgiving.

1. Very busy, we went to an entertaining establishment at WDW on Thanksgiving one year and because it was so crowded, the waiter did not have time to do the normal schitck.

2. I have been to WCC twice and found the food to be a little dry, that may have been just a happenstance but, not willing to try again.

Go with the Buffet, I agree with the person that posted earlier you may want to do Park Faire another night and go with Boma for Thanksgiving. I love Boma, the food is different but very tasty.

Hopefully, you'll get everything you want and everyone will have a nice time. Please come back to this thread and give us an update.

Good luck! :thumbsup2
