We are going to universal for our first time in a month :) I am completly lost on how to plan for this trip. We are staying off site at bahama bay and have tickets for univesal for 2 days. Its my hubby me and 2 boys ages 5 &3 (our oldest has autism) We do plan on getting a guest assistance card when we arive. Ok here are some of my questions:
1. Is the unlimited meal deal thing a good idea ( both are boys dont each much but they eat many times during the day)
2. Is it a good idea to plan out your day while there or just go with the flow? And if i should plan how???
3. I am way overwhelmed so anything is helpfull ;)

Thanks so much!

Hi

I am going to Universal in October, Im not sure about the meal deal "Id like to know about it myself"

BUT

I do have a son aged 9 with Autism! He functions ok with change luckily which is why we can do Holidays etc we find that even ifwe schedule everything to a exact plan it doesnt go that way!!
If B gets tired then we rest drink/eat and get him reset for the next few hours,we tend to go at a decent time in the morning so we get quite a bit done before it gets too hot then make sure we go INSIDE to eat and drink that way he gets out of the crowds(we always make sure we get a table in a corner out the way so B can get some personal space,We let the kids dictate what rides we do 1st with in reason this way they feel in control which helps our son greatly :thumbsup2

Hope you have a fab trip we took or boys to Universal when they was 3 and 5 and had a blast :woohoo:

i only do the meal deal if i have a long stay onsite. (7 or more nights)
when the parks have shorter hours, it isn't that easy to get 3 meals with that promo as you might not be hungry before you leave the park.

i found the meal deal to be time consuming.
each time you want more of an item, you have to go thru the line again and order, wait, then back to the table.

the meal deal begins at 10:30 when the restaurants open.
it is over 30 minutes prior to park closing.

only 3 places per park are included in the meal deal.
beverages are not included.
there is a separate beverage drink deal that you can buy separately.

check the menus out online at UO, to see if they have food your family will eat.
damo has a sticky of where to eat.
some posters included pictures and menus, prices in that thread.

figure out what you would order on the meal deal and compare those prices against buying the meal plan or opp.
