Make sure you check your expiration dates and while I know it's a nice treat, just take a quick look at the fat content and sodium content. For a dollar, you could make 10 home-made ones.
Sorry I know you all didn't want a lecture, but this is the only food I have a real problem with. Feel free to ignore me.![]()

Yes I know I could make lots of them for $1. But then I would have to spend the time to make them! My time is worth something.
Part of the attraction is the convenience. Its like anything else, sometimes I'm just willing to pay a little extra to make my life easier. I fed Lunchables to my daughter when she was younger too and she has somehow survived.
My son has eaten them every day for the last 3 years for school. All the others eat lunch at school but b/c of his nut allergy we don't allow him to. Convenience is a huge plus when trying to get 5 kids up and out the door for school in the morning. He's managed to survive as well. I rarely use salt in anything and we eat fairly healthy for snacks and the other 2 meals of the day, so I'm not worried about it. I'll pay between $1-1.50, but no more for one. Through the summer they're a nice treat if we go to eat lunch with daddy at work.
