I know some had been wondering when the flip flops would be $1 at Old Navy.
Well I just got an e-mail and tomorrow 5/21 is the day! Good luck to anyone brave enough to go. LOL, I remember reading some crazy stories.

Got ours last weekend when they were a $1 for cardholders. Wasn't crazy at all, in fact I had to walk to the front to be sure that was the promotion that day.

That is definately a better way to do it. I must have missed the cardholders e-mail.

I was wondering about that, I've never been to this sale. My girls really need flip flops, but I don't know if the 40minute drive:headache: will be worth it if it is really that crazy.

Do you know if they'll be available online? Our nearest ON is probably $20 in gas away...

Buy quality one's and they will last a few summers. My wife buys old navy flip flops and they are worthless in a few weeks

Our local store was awful last year. Wall to wall girls with handsful of flip flops. Didn't matter what color they were or what size they were - they just wanted them. Was kinda like the running of the dresses that's held every year. I'll buy mine at the regular price and avoid the chaos.

Not a fan of Old Navy, but I always see people mention the 1.00 flip flops. Are they really that great (to me they look like the cheap plastic ones who can buy at Walmart)? Or is it that they are a buck? What is the attraction?

Can I just suggest - go later in the day (if Old Navy is convenient for you) and just buy whatever sizes are there. Then, you can go back later and trade for sizes and colors you need. We usually do this, and then my daughter and I can get the flip-flops we need for different outfits that we may get during the summer.

They aren't the best quality, but as someone who wears flip-flops every day, I like having the option to trade out. And at $1 a pair, I can still afford to get the nicer pairs every once in a while, too.

My DDs were them but to me, they are very uncomfortable. They like having the variety of colors to choose from. Both of them work at our local park district (camp and pool) so they wear them all summer long. If they get lost or stolen, it's not a big deal.

With the price of gas, it's probably more money going back and forth than just paying full price.

We purchased our 5 pair alotment for each of my daughters last week. I decided to use my card to avoid the crazies this week. We would always go later in the day and there were none left in our store. My DD's 13 & 17 wear them from the time it is semi warm to almost thru fall. They last the summer and for $1.00 you can't beat it. I will have them take the old ones back to the store to donate as they recycle them for playground materials.

Yes, this won't work if you aren't at Old Navy frequently. Since our family likes the clothes there, and we have 3 teens, we are there quite often.

i use mine daily and had one pair that I through out last year because they were the old design and the old design was swapped a couple of years ago so i figured they had done its time. I still have a ton from the last few years and probably will only go to get some for dd for the pool/beach. I'm not gentle on mine either so I don't know why they'd be worthless in a few weeks :confused3

I already purchased a couple of pair for DD and myself a few weeks ago, but I am going to try to get some tomorrow also. We have quite a few pair, but like to get new colors. Mine last for a couple of years, but DD's don't last as long. She is much harder on hers. It is always nice to have new white and black ones each year. I have to say... I love my Old Navy flip flops. I wear them every day in the summer and find them quite comfy.

the commercial just aired and it is $2 flip flops for us...Long Island area...I guess it is regional

I just don't see the appeal of ON flip flops. Cheap looking and uncomfortable. Okay for the beach, not much else.

Plus, the things are like $2 normally aren't they? Too much trouble to save a buck.

Does anyone know if they are running the $10 board shorts for men like they did last year? :confused3 Those are great for my boys at Disney! Thanks for any info! :goodvibes

We went this morning, got a few pairs each and waited about 30 mins. It was kind of fun. They were playing games and everyone (ok most everyone) was in good spirits. I will wear them, not for long because they aren't that comfortable, but just a quick trip to the store or out in the yard they look cute.
