Before heading to Disney, We’re going to Universal for two days. One day will be Islands of Adventure and the second day will be the Studios. The Orlando Informer site has 1 day touring plans for each park. Has anyone followed the plans and if so, how did they work for you? What about the other planning sites for Universal. Any feedback, suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

some newbies have posted they use touring sites and appreciated them.
some say they use the park apps for line times.

you could get a lot of current info on the different threads in the darkside.
so many share their personal experiences on what worked for them in the parks.

just go early, check out the website for park layout so you know your way around and see where the rides are located and you'll do fine.

I was at USF July 6 and learned some things, stayed off-site and no express pass. I arrived about 10 minutes after opening time and noticed that I had to make a choice. Whether to go on Transformers or Despicable Me first. Either choice leaves you a long line on the other to contend with. After this, all the other "back" area rides are almost walk-ons. Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket has single rider line that should be used. Transformers also has a single rider line but the queue has a lot of important ride elements, so do the queue first time.

universal is the darkside.
disney is the motherland.

this comes from Mac 101

I'm planning on being at the park 30 minutes before rope drop, so hopefully I can do both with little wait.
