1 day Ticket question~ need a quick answer!

I can't believe I don't know this, but I can't find the answer. Our AP's expire 2 days before the end of our stay. We are going to make one of those days a DTD day and buy 1 day tickets for the other day. My question is, With a one day ticket without the park hopper feature, can we go in and out of the same park in the same day (Go to the park, go back to the hotel for swimming etc. and go back to the same park at night for fireworks?)
