Hello, folks.

I won a trip to Las Vegas for 3 nights in a radio contest last May.
The trip is from July 8th to the 11th (3 nights). Although I have never been to Las Vegas, I'm sure I'm not going to enjoy as much as I if I went to Disneyland at least for a day.

I need to be in Vegas on the 9th for another contest they will have there (a chance to win 15.000 dollars :cool1: ) and I will fly back to Canada on the 11th, so the option I saw was to rent a car, leave Vegas around 4:00 AM on the 10th, spend the day there, sleep in a hotel nearby (would be too tired to drive the same night) and drive back in the morning of the 11th.

I have a few questions and I appreciate if DL experts can help me out:

* has anyone driven from Vegas to Anaheim? Is 4 hours enough to get there? That's what Google maps "predicts".

* Realistically speaking, how much sohuld I expect to see in the 2 parks in one day? I've been to DL once in January of 98 (when DCA didn't exist) and spent a day there.

* Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel that's not too far from the DL gate?

I appreciate if anyone can help me with those.

Thanks, Camilo

hmm... its a bit cramp to see DCA and DLR on the same day. You might get lucky though... Yesterday, the park was really really empty. What people suggest is that you hit DLR in the morning, then as DLR gets populated and head over to DCA in the afternoon.

4 hour sounds about right. + 1 hour if there is traffic.

people like HOJOs. You should try that hotel.

I once spent about 7 hours driving from Vegas to Anaheim (MAJOR TRAFFIC) on a Sunday afternoon so watch out for that. It has only happened once to me though. Also, I have made it to anaheim under 4 hours before too. (many times) :confused3

Wouldn't it be cheaper/easier/better to fly if there was only one person?

How much is a RT ticket on SW?

Plus, more time in the parks.

hmm... i would rather drive actually. since you would have to wait for the plane 1-2 hours for the check points AND have to take the taxi/bus from the airport... Im not sure if its worth it...
