1 day National rental

I decided to do 2 one day rental with national instead of a towncar. Can anybody tell me if there is any way of getting a good rate for just 1 day....right now I am paying just under $26 each day for a compact using Sam's Club membership discount. Has anybody ever done better on a 1 day rental?

I priced this out for my last trip and it came out to around $40 for each of the days.... so $26 sounds very reasonable. You have to figure $52 versus $95 plus tip.

I have two one way rentals for December 8th and 15th through Alamo.

The one from MCO to the Dolphin is $22 and change for an economy, the one from the Dolphin to MCO is $32 and change for a compact (the economy was more). This is with an AP discount code.
