We will be in FL on Weds!! We are not doing a big Disney trip this time (next year for our son's 10th!) but instead relaxing with my parents in a house they've rented and doing misc. Florida things. We are taking the kids to LEGOLAND for one day and want to do one other theme park day but can't decide between a day at Magic Kingdom or a day at Busch Gardens. The kids are 8, 6 and 5. They LOVE Disney and we've been 3 times as a family. We know there's a full day of fun for them there. We've never been to Busch Gardens. We'd be going on Thursday or Friday of this week. Thoughts? Thank you!

BG has some nice attractions (years ago I went multiple times annually), but I think it's gone a little downhill since those days. Whether it has or hasn't, I think MK is still the clear choice.

I'll put it another way. If you're just looking for something different, then do BG. Otherwise I think MK is the way to go.

BG has some great coasters, including some aimed at young kids. They also have a very good collection of African animals. If your kids enjoy animal-watching, I would go there.

I haven't taken my kiddo there yet, but all Busch / Seaworld parks are great for kids. My recent vacation with kiddo included all the major California theme parks. Several months later, she will randomly blurt out how great Sea World was, followed by Cars Land, Legoland, and Waterworld (Universal Studios).

With the age of your children, I would do MK. Busch Gardens is fun, but I think it's better for teens and adults.

Totally agree. BG is famous for its coasters, MK is for kids of all ages with lots of rides for your young ones. :thumbsup2 Besides, they love the World.

I would do BG since you are doing Disney next year. There are animals to feed and view plus shows. We are not thrill ride people and spent a great day there last summer. I don't know if they have it now but there was a wonderful evening show and fireworks as well.
