1 day at MK, ADR or not?

We will only be at MK from 2:00 until MNSSHP ends at midnight. With only one day to spend, I'm not sure if my 3 kids will be into sitting for a meal. Do the restaurants with ADR take longer (dining experience) or is it just as quick as counter service?

we went to Crystal Palace last years Halloween party and we were there a little over an hour.....of course this is a character dinner so it may take a little longer with your little ones.....we had a great time. Get your reservation for 4ish and then you will be ready for when the trick or treating starts and all the festivities....

If it were me, if we just had one day I would probably just do counter service. In my experience ADRs do take quite a bit longer, but we mostly go to the sit down with a menu places. I don't know how it would be if you chose someplace with a buffet. Counter service you walk up- tell them what you want- and it takes them about 2 minutes to hand it to you. Sit down ADRs, you sometimes have to wait to get seated, wait for the waiter, order, wait for the food, etc.
