Hi! So my first trip to Disneyland will be the weekend of August 5-8. I won't be at DL all those days- just 1! 2 of my friends and I are taking an end of the summer fun trip to California and will be doing a day in Hollywood, a day at the beach, and of course, a day at Disney/California Adventure!

I've been to WDW 5 times, most recently a month ago :) I know DL is different, and so this board is overwhelming me just like the WDW one did 2.5 years ago!

So, I'm welcoming any advice! We are all 23/24 year olds, love Disney, love all rides, and staying at parks til they close. I've already traveled to WDW with one of the girls and her favorite phrase is "book it" if you get my drift! Our choices of days are 8/5, 6, or 7. As far as I've seen, all shows are playing and the parks are open the same times so I'm just asking for crowd purposes! No special dining or ADRs or anything- we'll actually probably bring our own lunches in, knowing my friends. Just an epic day with Mickey!

If anyone has any ideas on how to plan the day (where to start, when to get FP, etc), I'll gladly take them! I've been told that if I miss World of Color, I will get slapped by one of my friends so I'm wondering- is it possible to see both WOC and the fireworks?

Thanks for reading my rambly post! I'm soo excited!

*Here's* how we spent 1 day at DLR mid July 2009.

Collect FPs starting the minute you arrive, and make sure to grab another as soon as you can.

It's possible to to WoC and Fireworks on the same night. Either first with a poor view of the second.

But I would suggest since it's summer and Magical Fireworks are just ok, compared to the standard Remember Dreams come true fireworks that you see Fantasmic. It's quite different than in DHS. Also you can easily see WoC and then have time for a great seat at Fantasmic.

Also you know that what is great after Hollywood? Spending the night in DL. Might even do some morning and nice around the beach time in DLR too.
