1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

Claire hates the skunk smell too, but I also think she secretly likes it. :rotfl2: I mean I think she likes that it so gross. I have a weird kid.

We have never eaten there. I am worried I might lose a tooth! :p

It's okay if Claire's little weird.....she loves Disney so that more than makes up for the weirdness. :lmao:

Oh I will never live down that lost tooth story! It's okay though 'cause we all still laugh about it. :rotfl2:

I love your new garden themed purchase.

Cayley calls Figment the stinky ride too and holds her nose when I make her ride it with me. But I love that purple dragon.

Hunter just cracks me up.

I'm glad you got a quick, filling meal at Electric Umbrella.

I hope that the garden themed items are still there in May. I want the wind chime next.

Cayley is such a funny girl!

I love your bird bath. I don't think I have ever been in the shop, put it on the list of things to look for. I love Figment but still miss the original with Dreamfinder. I held my breath when you said you were going to Mousegears, no snakes this year?

The shop is super tiny and it's right across from where you sign in for Behind the Seeds Tour. Keep an eye out for it.

NOOOOOO snakes at Mousegears. That comes later.

This picture just made me LOL at work. I'm sure my co-workers think I'm crazy.

Love the bird bath! I'll have to check out that store next time.

Sorry Mama didn't like the Figment ride. We haven't been on that one either, but I think my girls would like it.

When we were at Disney last year, we ate at the Electric Umbrella, and all I could think of was you losing your tooth! Of course this was when I was still a lurker, but I still thought it.

Hope you found some good jewelry!

Co-workers smo-workers! No need to stifle a laugh or two.

Mama does not like loud noises at all. She holds her ears at the movies sometimes.

Aren't you glad that you have been de-lurk-ified! Now you can laugh AND talk about my loose tooth.;)

My oldest DD tries to conduct like that every time! She can't reach yet, but she sure does try. :rotfl2:

My youngest calls him Figelment and loves him, but she hates the part at the end where it blows really hard as the walls go away. I have to sit her on my lap and cover her head and ears. It's amazing that the child has very little fear, but that scares the bejeebers out of her.

Good luck with getting through to the final round, hopefully you'll hear soon pixiedust::

Oh I wish Figment would return to the version I remembered as a kid, I'm sure it wasn't as loud or stinky :rotfl:

And no I've never seen a conductor with moves quite like that before :rotfl2:

Working on another installment and should have it posted today if I can get the boss out the door.

I did want to give ya'll an update on Hunter's trip to Disney. Some of ya'll already know since we're friends on Facebook but I'll post for those who aren't on FB. The trip? Well, it ain't happenin'! They had plenty to sign up and we made our first payment and then, yesterday, Hunter came home from school with the news that too many had dropped out. You should have seen that poor boy's face. He looked something like this:

sorry_crying_cartoon1.jpg

Minus the b**bs of course. :lmao:

I know that it's tough for families to come up with the money to send their kids on the trip. As I said before, the fundraising opportunities were limited because we couldn't actually do anything on school property or have the money come through the school. That's one of the hassles of going to a large school.

It was still a bummer for those who were ready to go. Hunter really wanted to show all of his friends the magic of Disney all by himself. You see, I had decided that I wasn't going as a chaperone. I wanted him to have fun without me around. Kids need their independence and I certainly wouldn't have worried about him at Disney.

If the orchestra doesn't plan another trip, then I told Hunter that I would give him $300 of the money that would have gone towards his trip. He can spend it however he wants but he won't get it until after we hear about other trips or after Christmas.

Hearing that helped sooth the sting of the cancelled trip but I know he's still sad about the cancellation.

Anyway, that's the school trip update. Let me get back to work on the trip report.

Oh wait! Don't leave yet! I forgot to tell ya'll that Lacey received a pin code and they are now going to be traveling with us for the first part of next year's trip and not the last. We've been working on the details and it's a little difficult since we still don't know if Jesse's parents are coming. I think that Lacey and Jesse are going to book even if they don't. Can't let that precious pin code slip through their fingers.

She'll be tall enough before you know it!

Oh how sweet! Figelment! It's odd what will scare a daredevil.

Thank you! I'm still not nervous about making it to the next round. I did my very best with my answers and I spoke from the heart in my video. I really hope that I move on and are what they are looking for because it would be an honor to be chosen. However, if not, I'll just keep on trying.

I have never seen a conductor shaking his behind like that! Maybe if they did, orchestra concerts would be more fun. :rotfl:

Do you seriously need to barf? Mom? Mom! Mom?

After a little shopping, we wanted to go over to Mission Space and see how long the wait was. There are three reasons why Mama wont ride: 1) Shes claustrophic; B) Shes a heart patient; iii) She said Im not that stupid!. :lmao: Mama walked over with us and found a nice shaded spot to sit and wait on us. We showed her where the exit was in case she wanted to go inside and wait for us. She said that she was fine where she was.:thumbsup2

Oh wait, I forgot to post pictures of some of the Flower & Garden Festival leftovers.

I think that this sign is here all of the time though:

And, off we went to our awaiting rocket!

Do we go with the green wimpy side or the wild orange side? :confused3 We chose wild orange baby! ::yes:: Hey Mom, we just ate. How are you feeling about choosing the orange side? A little something like this:

Just kidding! I felt fine. Really I did!

Mom? Mom! Mom?

Im just playing! Gosh! Yall havent ever pretended that you have to barf before? :crazy2:

Lacey called to see what we were doing. She and Jesse were getting excited about coming down and seeing us. We didnt talk very long because I think that its kind of rude to talk when theres a ton of folks in a tight space. And, the reception in the building stinks to high Heaven. We told her that wed call them later and fill them in on what all we had done.

Pictures while waiting:

**Just so you all will know or didn't catch it....go back and look at the three reasons why Mama won't ride. Remind you of a line in Home Alone?

**Up next: You spin me right round baby! Right round! Like a record baby!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: I love your barfing pictures, Lisa. Those were just too funny. You are a much braver woman than me. I won't even do the green side. I'd be sitting right along side your momma while you fools rode that ride.

Whew Orange side?!?!?!? I can only do green side and then only like once a day! :rotfl:

Loved your barfing pics! :lmao:

I JUST had this conversation with Gail tonight...do you really FEEL anything on the orange side of Mission Space? We don't, none of us (well, Lisa has never ridden it, because of her heart). We feel a little pressure on our chest, but nothing spinning etc. NOTHING. We haven't even tried in the last 5 years because it was like sitting on a chair and waiting to push a button, then the ride is over. I would honestly like to know what others experience and what I am missing...

BTW, LOVE your barf pics, you have a great way of conveying things, that is what will make you a GREAT Disney Mom's panelist! :thumbsup2

I had a couple more but those are the best ones. We can't miss the opportunity to ride Mission Space but Mama just can't do it.

Heck yeah, orange side! Lacey only does the green side every since she found out that her ticker is messed up.;)

Let me see....do I think you were brave to ride the orange side or just CRAZY:rotfl2:

How about both! :lmao:

In all honesty, it all depends on how I am feeling that day on whether or not I feel a lot on Mission Space. If my head is all stopped up and boogery, then I feel the movement more. :rotfl: I do feel it when you lean back and get ready to launch and when you are going around the moon. Like you, though, it's mostly the pressure on the chest.

Thanks! I try my best to make it feel like ya'll are right there with the barfing me. ;)

Are ya'll ready for this? I have another installment written and will be posting it in just a few minutes. I just wanted to comment though....where is everybody? There's hardly anyone who posts any more? Did I do something wrong? What's up buttercups?

You spin me right round baby! Right round! Like a record baby!

It was finally time to line ‘er up! We watched the short clip and then were led into the area where you choose your position. I don’t remember who was what or what was who or...let’s just see if my pictures reveal anything. ;) Hunter taking the stance:

After Lieutenant Dan gave us a pep talk, we were off to our rocket. Looks like I was the navigator:

John was next to me and in true John fashion, he was already fiddling around with the controls and pushing buttons :sad2::

Uh, hellooooo, Mr. John, don’t go touching things until they tell you to:

Me all strapped in and giving the thumbs up sign that the navigator was ready:

I think that I tried taking a picture of Hunter but it was dark and I didn’t know if I should take a picture with a flash so just pretend that you see Hunter:

Right here

Let’s lean back now and look up at the, at the, what’s that towery looking thing that the rocket goes up? Yeah, that thing:

My attempts at continuing to take pictures into the screen weren’t that great. You can see the screen in a few of them but some are sideways or crooked or have a control stick in front of them:

Oh look, you can see John’s screen in this whopsided one:

Do whatever it is that they told you to do John! Hurry before we end up floating aimlessly in outerspace :scared1::

DO NOT MOVE A MUSCLE!

There’s my Hunter down on the end:

Overjoyed that we made it safe and sound :thumbsup2:

Did I make use of the barf bag? Nope! I made it through perfectly fine. Stop snickering.....I know that I’m never “perfectly fine” but I came out no worse for the wear. :lmao:

**Up next: Would ya take a look at all those scars! Things that make you go “hum?”.

I am still here. I usually end up as a lurker, because I don't really "know" your Disfriends very well. :rolleyes1 I will try to do better.

I have never been on Mission Space at all...but I do have a funny MS story! My cousin is married to a former astronaut, Story Musgrave. Story has been on SIX real space missions. When he and my cousin were dating he took her to Epcot for her birthday. MS had just opened, and she asked him if he had been on it yet. He told her that he hadn't tried it, but that he had helped design it. :scared1: Sooo, she got him on it....

AND HE GOT SICK!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

So, yeah...I am too scared to give it a try. :crazy2:

But, you are a Dis friend too! So please feel free to comment 'cause I love it.

OH MY GOSH! That story is hilarious! And, it's super cool that your cousin is married to a real live astronaut AND he helped design Mission Space. :thumbsup2

I'm still here and loving every minute of it but I do agree that the Disboards have been quiet lately.

No way I could have done the orange side. No way and then you can even take pictures?!?!?!? What a woman!!
