1 br Vacation Homes- what do ya get??

This will be our very first vacation as DVC members at our home resort SSR...
what is a one bedroom vacation home like?
Is it a FULL refrigerator with a freezer?
What is the closet grocery store to SSR- anyone know?

I hit the web site to learn what else we have access too just wondering about the above...

yes the refrigerator is full size one - I don't know if it has an ice maker inside it or not. the bwv, vwl and bcv don't. but OKW does - so it might???

the closest grocery store is goodings (very, very expensive) - the next is Winnie Dixie - when hotel plaza road ends turn left - about a mile down this road on the right side is a mall - WD is here.

for the Publix - turn left at the end of hotel plaza - get in the left lane - go under the I4 - then at the left turn - turn left - this road will take you over to IB and a Publix.

again turn left at the end of hotel plaza - get in the middle lane - the ones on the right and left will quit - stay on this road under I4 then several miles later under I417 - then you will see a couple of traffic lights - turn left (across from Burger King) - if you miss this turn - just kept going - this roads ends at US 192 - just turn left on US 192 about 1 miles on the left side is a Sams', then a Target, further down (around 2 to 3 miles) is a Super Walmart (ON THE RIGHT). lots of choices!!!

what is a one bedroom vacation home like?

Welcome! "It's like a HOME away from HOME." We toured SSR last summer, and were VERY impressed. I love the pool, spa and the location. I also thought the villas and the homes were incredible. I just wish they had underground parking, as they do in DVB.

We enjoy the 1BR villa @ DVB, and the extra "room" it affords. The configuration actually makes most of these seem much LARGER than they truly are (in sq.feet). You should be very comfortable, and relaxed in your SSR vacation home. Enjoy the Dis...and, as spiceycat posted...check-out the DVC board!

Since your driving from the North...are you taking I-4 or US 192? If you are taking US 192 there are several Publix along that route as well.
