Can you fit 4 adults and one small child (4 years old) into a one bedroom villa? I know that the occupancy says 4, but with a small child I wasn't sure if 5 would be able to fit comfortably. Thanks!

DH and I took our niece when she was 4 and she slept in the King bed in the master bedroom with us.

If you do, you want want to look into OKW. the 1br accomodations are larger than at the newer DVC properties.

We sleep 4 (me, my wife, and boys 12 & 13) and have plenty of room. a small child would not be a problem.

Good luck

Thanks for the info..I didn't even ask, but do these 1 bedrooms have a pull out sofa or is it 2 queen beds in the bedroom?

The OKW 1Br have a King Size bed in the bedroom, and a queen size pull out couch in th living room area. Additionally, there is love seat that could be used for a small child.

The OKW 1 br is approx 1100 sq ft. This is significantly larger than other 1br suites. If you went up to a 2 br, you would access the "studio" adjacent to the 1br through a common doorway.

OKW is great. It's clean, quiet, and the bus service has always been good.
If you like to walk, there is actually a walking trail that will take you from OKW to DTD (Through SSR)

We'll be there on Sunday...it't the only place we'll stay now.

Officially, a one bedroom will hold four persons plus one under the age of three in the pack and play. However, Member Services is currently allowing five people in a one bedroom (but not five plus one under the age of three). They will not provide any additional bedding or linens. You will have to provide them yourselves. You will get four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths.

The OKW one bedroom is larger, but the other one bedrooms will be very crowded with four adults and one child. You may want to request OKW or get a two bedroom. We had a one bedroom at SSR two years ago. We had three adults and one 10 yr old. We tried to get a two bedroom, but none were available. We felt very crowded.

Previous posters have given the official policy and what Member Services is currently allowing. As occupancy discussions often become heated and turn into debates, the DVC boards limit occupancy discussions to this thread DVC Occupancy Thread You may continue this discussion there if you wish.
