1 adult with 2 young kids

Turns out my husband wont be making the trip so for the first time its me flying solo with teo under 6. We leave on Thursday and just found out today. To say Im overwhelmed is an undestatement.

What do you do on rides?

Im not concerned about the ones where we can all go together, but what happens in 2 people rides like Dumbo, Barnstormer, TSMM and the like?

They are both under 6, so they NEED an adult to ride with them.

I've done it at DL and its hard but doable. Dumbo you should all be able to squeeze into one Dumbo just fine. The same with Pan, HM, etc. Barnstormer I'm not sure on honestly because we normally skip it. BTM can fit three though. Again, I'm not sure on Toy Story but I know on Buzz I sat between my two and let them have the guns and have at it. Maybe someone can chime in on whether that would work for TSM

On Barnstormer, can they both sit in front of you and you in the backseat? You'll all still be in the same car, but you just in the backseat.

That is tough for the rides that have two and two because I doubt one of the children will be Ok with sitting behind but perhaps the older child will be OK with it if the alternative is you can not go.

Dumbo can fit three in one row. My husband, daughter and myself sat three across, I just checked the video of us that I took to make sure . As I recall the Winnie the pooh worked with the three of us too as well as the little Mermaid. I am not positive but I think we did all three of us for those two rides.

Toystory is 2 people play the game but three might fit in the buggy if you do not play the game. This I am not sure of.

But thankfully there are many rides that are not like that and you can all sit in a row like Pirates, small world, etc. I do not know if they are too scarred of the haunted mansion but yiou can definitely fit 3 there in the buggy.

I think you will be fine with most of the rides. Have fun. I am sure someone will come and give better more definitive advice. I know Dumbo ride is good for three because I was just watching the video of us.

I'm pretty sure most rides (even if they look like 2 seaters) can fit an adult and 2 small children. Definitely dumbo, buzz and tsmm ( just the issue of only 2 laser things), Peter Pan... We went with 3 adults and two kids that were 5 and under a couple years ago and no one sat by themselves for anything. The only one I'm not sure of is barnstormer. You and your little one may have to sit behind your 6 year old.

The only ones I've heard of/ experienced having to be only 2 are:
-Barnstormer
-Expedition Everest
- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
(and Space Mountain is only 1)

- Dumbo, Speedway, and Astro Orbiter will fit 3, but depending on your size and size of kids could be a bit of a squeeze
- Buzz fits 3 fine, but only 2 lasers
- Not sure how they would have you sit on Toy Story -we split up for our own guns
- I rode the following with a 14 and 10 year old last year, 3 across, with no problems: Splash, Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Little Mermaid, Nemo
- Most others can fit at least 3 across (boats like Small World, shows etc...)

One of the things we love about Disney is that even though we are usually traveling with and odd # of people, we rarely have to split up!
