I'm starting to plan our first trip with DD!! I'd love to hear about experiences with little ones at the water parks. DH loves the slides and I like to just hang out, so I'm sure DD and I would have fun together. We are only going for 5 days this trip, so we would only plan to hit one water park. Any recommendations?

Thanks so much!! Amy

We went to Typhoon Lagoon when my DD was 3. There is a childrens area with water fountains, and waterfalls, and a little river rapid slide. But what she loved most was sitting in the sand and playing with a bucket and shovel.

Both BB and TL have nice kiddie areas. You and your DH could split up if you wanted to do other things (you must do at least one lap by yourself in the Lazy River). Have fun!! :sunny:

BB is great for little ones..... The kiddie area is "padded" with the snow. If little one slips there is small chance of boo-boos. Also please be sure to request a free life jacket for the little one if you plan to float with baby on the lazy river. I see way too many adults with small children without lifejackets. The small risk isn't worth losing any child. The CMs commented to me once when my kids were small that they think the lifejackets were a good idea then proceeded to tell me stories of scary moments with other parents/children.

we took DS when he was 23 month old and he had a blast at Typhoon Lagoon. We took him on the family toboggan ride and he loved it. He took to the water very well and spent lots of time in the pools at Beach Club as well.

We've done both waterparks with young children. They both have great areas just for toddlers. My youngest loved the tube slide at kecthakiddee creek the best. I could put her at the top, watch her all the way down and get her at the bottom (all with just a few steps). But be warned she went on it at least 100 times. The sand was also a hit.

Have fun.
