Which resorts have a half bedroom for a child in a crib or pack n play. It could be a large closet, a laundry room, or an extra bathroom. Just wandering which resorts are possible to save on points instead of getting a 2BR and still be able to have the crib in its own sleep space. I’ve heard VGF has a large closet that fits a crib, and the separate bathroom area with the soaker tub in CCV also appears that it would work well. Must be an area that the crib can fit and can be undisturbed throughout the night by others usin the restroom.

One problem with using a bathroom area is that many of them turn on the fan automatically when anyone goes into the room. So if your infant is a light sleeper he/she would wake up. There is a large walk in closet in at BRV, SSR and OKW in the 1BRs as well as at VGF. Keep in mind the soaker tub area at VGF is also the walkway to the toilet area from the master bedroom.

Fans in bathrooms are not a problem as my children sleep with sound machines with white noise. The fans just really add to the white noise. But we obviously wouldn’t put the baby in the only bathroom as that would defeat the purpose of having a separate sleep space where they wouldn’t be disturbed. Unless you are saying the fans come on on their own throughout the night without turning on a light.

I was referring to the soaker tub in CCV which has its own area with 2 doors and the other part of the bathroom has an entrance from the hallway so no one has to go through that part of the bathroom to get to the toilet.

We have done this many times. OKW laundry room works great. Boardwalk and Saratoga have large walk in closets in master. Poly studios have seperate bath area.

The Kidani 1BRs would be another choice. There are two bathrooms and the master bath (which also serves as a closet) is very large and can easily hold a crib. It is also accessible only via the master bedroom. The toilet is within its own room within that master bathroom.

i'm thinking of doing the same thing. i would take note of the sq ft of each 1BR your thinking of. BRV 1BR is bigger than CCV 1BR and VGF are bigger than both of them.

DVC does not provide cribs, you will need to bring your own or rent from an outside location.
I would not put a child in a bathroom, spend the extra points and treat the kids to a germ free place to sleep.

I've heard otherwise and seen pictures of DVC members with cribs at different resorts. Though I've not requested one myself, from what I gather they are request-only and not guaranteed.

As for the original question, Poly has two good size bathrooms if you're considering two studios. David's has some nice virtual tours that you can move through to see the different options. Here's one for VGF, for instance; the closet does appear to be quite large. https://www.dvcrequest.com/grand-floridian

If you have just seen a picture, you don't know if the person had rented the crib from an outside company.

If you have spoken to someone who said Disney provided a crib, you should ask whether it was a hotel room, a DVC room cash reservation, or a DVC reservation made with points.

Most of those closets do not have vents in the ceiling to provide air to the space.

Both 1 and 2 BR at VGF have closets in the master big enough for a pack n play, with plenty of room left over.

Soooooo... I have never slept in the Master BR, but my grandson has slept there (in the closet) twice.

Not sure if this would work for your situation, but we used to put my son in the pack n play in the master while we enjoyed the living room in the evenings. When we were ready for bed we literally picked up his crib and walked it into the living room area. Worked great.

That’s what we do in a 2BR as my 4yo gets the second bedroom. But in a 1BR my 4yo would be on the pullout in the living room. We have always stayed in a 2BR but had heard a few people mention the various random places they had placed the pack n play for a make shift room. Thought it would be good to compile a list of options for a 1BR that we could “make due” with if we had to or if we were looking to save on points.

There is (usually) a pack and play in the closet, BUT on at least 3 occasions (BLT 2016, VGF 2017, BCV 2017) YDD has slept in a crib, not a pack and play.

Nice to know, where did you rent the crib?

DVC resorts (and I believe all disney resorts for that matter) do provide full size cribs with a mattress. You just need to request it. They are the metal kind on wheels. We get it for our little one every time since they are much easier to sanitize than the fabric pack n plays.

I know this wasn't a DVC resort, but All Star Sports gave us a crib instead of a pack n play in May '17. I didn't ask for a crib. Definitely worth requesting, if that's your preference. Good luck.. my kids won't get near a crib or pack n play on vacation, even if we had 2 billion bedrooms they would still manage to sleep in our bed.

Were you staying on points or cash? This must be new, we were never able to get a real crib, just the pack-n-play that was in the unit.
It's been many years since we had little ones, but now with the Grand kids we could use a real crib, they are out growing the P-N-P.
Thanks for the info.
