We may be driving in on a Friday around 3-4 pm instead of driving in on Saturday, not my ideal day or time but may be what I need to do.

Thinking it may be best to exit 417 from 1-4, but not sure what to do from there.

What area do u exit to 417. I am then trying to get to 10000Turkey Lake Rd Orlando.
Would I take 528 W back on 1-4 or some would some other route work better.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Coming down on I-95 from Jacksonville/Daytona I think your best bet is to not take I-4 but stay on I-95 a little longer, then get on 528 west. No need for 417.

Rte. 528 takes you to I-4 where you go east (northeast) towards downtown Orlando and Universal; I think Turkey Lake Rd. is in that vicinity.

If you took 417 (after getting on I-4 for a short distance) you will cross I-4 just before the Disney welcoming arches. You would also go east on I-4 towards Universal to get to Turkey Lake Rd. but there would be several more miles worth of I-4 to travel.

The answer lies not in the time you will be entering the Orlando metro but in the time you will be passing through downtown Orlando on that fateful Friday afternoon. If you're passing through anytime up until 4pm itself, you'll probably be ok. Even between 4pm and 4:45pm, you'd experience some backups downtown just before the junction with TOLL 408; just stay in the two far left lanes as you pass by. But after 4:45pm, you're looking at delays in way too many places all along I-4. Only use 417 if you'd be around downtown at 4:45pm or later.

For Turkey Lake Road, don't use the Sand Lake Road exit (Exit 74A) which gets very congested after 4pm. Get off at the Exit 74B which is signed only as "Universal". Follow the ramp to the traffic light (Hollywood Blvd), turn left and head to the next light which is Turkey Lake Road. Turn left onto Turkey Lake Rd and follow it across Sand Lake Road to your resort.
