Thanks for the movie info. We just bought Invincible for Xmas, nice movie! Our family is staying in Orlando at the Horizons Vacation Club by Marriott.
I figured we should check this place out since my husband is a Marriott Corp.
employee.Maybe some friends and family would like to stay there for a discount when we all go to the DVC resorts.
We could keep it simple and just wear the paint chips with our Dis Name and First Names with the logo " Disney Wonder Clan" or something cool.
This would help us identify each other more easily. If everyone agrees please post.
Got our cruise docs yesterday. This is getting so exciting!!!!

We are flying out 1 week from today to start our land portion at AKL. Making a list of what to pack. I'm getting worried that I'll need to rent a truck to carry it all. I've got a page of just camera and battery stuff.

No documents yet. But they're being sent to our travel agent first.

We booked through Travelocity, so the docs got sent to them, and then Travelocity Fed-exed them to us.
cbsprings- We stayed at Marriott Horizons last year. Nice place, great pools. There was a lot of renovation work going on when we were there, so I imagine the units should be pretty spiffy. Here's a tip- If they're doing any unit renovations, ask for a unit in a different building, where there's no work going on.

Thanks for that tip. I can probably have hubby check if they have assigned us a room yet. Is there one building that is better than the other? Is there some facing the pools? I originally had the reservation at Marriott's Cypress Harbour till someone at Marriott told my husband about Horizons. They said it was more interesting for the kids. Do they have paddle boats you can rent?
Is your teen son going to do any of the teen stuff? I have a 13 year old son as well.

Sorry, but most of our memories of that resort are a blur, since we spent practically every waking minute at the the parks. Horizons has a pirate theme, and the kids get tokens each time they participate in an activity, and they redeem them for prizes at the end of the stay. I think that all the building locations were decent, bur if you want to be near 1 of the 2 pools, you could certainly try requesting it.
Thanks for the packing list link, I'll check it out.
My son will probably check out the teen stuff, I think it'll all depend on how he fits in with the crowd as to how much he'll want to do. Maybe our sons will meet and hit it off?

Thanks for the reply. My son Nicholas is kinda shy at first. He loves to play Video games such as xbox 360 live, he also plays the electric guitar and enjoys Basketball! They can meet at the DisMeet and see what happens. I know my son isn't usually one to go into a crowd of strangers and mingle. That would be my younger one!

mrsp1030 - welcome. Where in WV is your mom from? We're in Charleston. It snowed some yesterday. I was in Beckley yesterday and it was freezing. Took me 2 1/2 hours to get home last night.

BillyBob7 and mrsp1030- It's a small world, I attended SUNY-Binghamton from 1980-83. I've heard the area has changed a lot.
Does the "Clinton Street Crawl" still exist?
