1/2 the Computers are down!!

I was just put back on hold because I was told half the computers were down. I could call back later today or be placed back on hold and hope to get someone that had a working computer!!

Give it a few hours today ( Jan 2) the new ticket and packages/Disney Shuttle can start being booked and they're prolly still mid-process reprogramming their system.

I agree. Actually I noticed online they actually at the new Disney express on to your reservation automatically which I think is cool.

THe online ressie system is down too. I was up at 7:30 looking at it, then came back at 9 and it stopped working.

Yep. I was able to get one quote out of it for CBR May 27-June 4, and I was trying to get the same quote but for AKL and it said that it was down for maintenance. You really can't be upset about it because things like this are bound to happen with a new system. Atleast I know what price range I am working with now.

Same here. I was told to call back after 5 or if I leave my info they would have someone call me back within 48 hours.

This was after I tried calling on Friday and their systems were completely down for the upgrade.

I was such a good girl this morning---I forced myself to get all my chores finished before getting glued to my PC for Disney stuff today.
I just sat down with a glass of juice and a bagel, all ready to check out the new pricing deals online, and it says its down for maintenance

The system is probably on overload with all us Disers trying to log on at once

I called @ 9:26 am and got right through...all I needed was a room-only with Florida Resident Rate for March...

I'm going to DisneyWorld...

Congrats on getting the code for your stay.

The system being down might have been a good thing, because I know what the cost would be for a 8 night/7 day package with hopper and dinning. So now I can figure out what the cost would be for room only with AAA rate, a 10 day ticket, and food done seperately.

Reservations is having problems AGAIN. I have been trying to get through since Friday.

They are now recommending that I try calling back tomorrow.

My AAA agent has been trying to confirm a quote that they were able to squeez out of the online system this morning, with no luck. She just sent me another e-mail apoligizing for not being able to get a quote for me.

I hope they are right and the system is back up with no problems on Tuesday or I might have to start looking elsewhere for a vacation this year.

Yea, the last time that we went (May '03) we stayed at Holiday Inn Family Suites. It was a great deal. But they are doing renovations now and have gotten rid of some of the perks that distinguished them from everyone else.

Between that and the fact that we are bringing a 3 month old we are really hoping to stay at the CR.

I'm starting to think that I'm not supposed to go.

I am actually thinking of scraping the whole Disney thing altogether and go elsewhere. This is being to be a pain in the butt.

That would be a bit tough for me. I wouldn't want to try and tell my 7 yo that we are going somewhere else.

Besides, I've been looking forward to this for a year.

That is very true. Luckily I am single and only need to tell myself that I am not going to WDW. I know it will be tough, but if It doesn't work out, I will manage .

Yeah, what's going on with the computer system?!?! I've been waiting all day for someone to call me back with a room rate. Oh well. Since it's late now, I guess it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with Cro, and the computer didn't die. It did last night in the middle of making the reservations. I'm all set to go in May..

Well I did manage to get through during the 1/2 hour that their systems were up. They didn't have anything other than suites or rack rate rooms at CR.

I would up getting into the Poly for $239 w/o tax for 3 adults 2 children for a Garden View room. I grabbed it while I could and it was a good thing since afterward the res system came down again when I asked him to check another rate.

I would have loved to have stayed at the CR but some of the other threads that talk about Poly is starting to make me feel better.

I'm still going to call them back later. At the very least to make sure that my ressie actually made it into the system.
