Anyone out there been to Pop food court recently and can tell me about the milk? We want to eat breakfasts in our room & would like to buy a 1/2 gallon of milk for cereal...Do they even sell 1/2 gallons, or just little cartons like in elementary school? Do you recall prices?

Thanks in advance! :)

When we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge a few weeks ago, a 1/2 gallon of milk was $3.00 and it was sold in the gift shop. I would imagine it is close to the same at Pop???

They sell 1/2 gallons of milk at Pop -- whole milk and 1/2% I believe. I think $3.00 is about right; can't recall precisely. There is a thread dedicated to Pop Century on the resorts board http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3000350 where it shows the price at $2.99 as of August of 2012.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Yes, I'm betting Pop is the same. Never done cereal in the room before, so I never paid attention to milk in the cases before! Thanks a bunch. :thumbsup2

Two weeks ago we bought a half gallon of milk in the gift shop at All Star Music. I think it was 2.89.

A little OT, but are the fridges at Pop cold enough for milk? I've heard conflicting reports on these boards. I've never used them for milk but I'm traveling with kids this summer so I'm anticipating buying milk at Everything Pop.

Sorry to hijack...

I used the little fridges at POP to keep milk cold, also coffee creamer. It worked fine. The fridge seemed very cold, just no freezer.

When the fridge at the Polynesian didn't seem cold enough, we put ice in there in the little ice bucket and that kept things cold. Also, be aware that the fridges seem to work better with the outer cabinet door cracked a little so air can circulate. They are SMALL so not sure how much will fit.

Our first trip after the fridges were installed, they didn't seem cold enough to me, so I filled the ice bucket and stuck it in there to "help" with the temp. Three or four days later, the bucket was still mostly full of ice, so yes - plenty cold.

Just back from POP & I was a little worried the refrigerator wouldn't keep the milk cold enough (especially since we had to put the 1/2 gallon in the door to fit) but it was fine. It doesn't feel that cold at all but the milk never tasted bad & it was cold.

At Pop the 1/2 gallons of milk are sold in the food court not gift shop. I really like that set up at Pop so that if you are buying other food items too you only have to wait in one check out line.
