1 & 2 day tickets

I was looking at the Disneyland website and it shows 1 day 1 park tickets for $47 and 2 day park hoppers for $98. Isn't that unusual for the two 1 day tickets to be cheaper than the 2 day hopper?

Also does anyone know if these prices include tax? Thanks!

I guess it's because the hopper allows you to "hop" back and forth between parks on the same day, and the 1 day tickets limit you to one park each day.

Yes that is true. They charge a little more for the advantage of being able to hop back and forth!
