Hi all, doing our whirlwind 1 day in Disney. Half a day in Hollywood STudios.

Our gal wouldn't like ToT or the rocking rollercoaster

But wondering if anyone has any insight into what to hit?
Also is the back lot closed and does that mean no Muppets?

Do they publish the show times for the Indiana Jones thing?
Is there a fast pass we need to get?

Thanks! (the other half of day is Magic Kingdom)

Hi there! with the backlot being closed that does not mean the muppets 3D is closed. ToT and Rock n roller coaster aren't always good ideas for kids, but I would suggest you try out toy story mania if you can! its awesome for families. :yay: The Indiana jones showtimes are posted both by the ride, as well as on the showtimes sheets that you can find near the entrance to the park by the park maps. Have an awesome time!:thumbsup2

you may also want to check out Voyage of the Little Mermaid as well! its an awesome show (about 20 minutes long I believe) and is good for all members of the family

I agree with all of the above. We have been with 7 year olds or around that multiple times. Things they like in DHS include:

Muppets
Indiana Jones
Lights, Motors, Action
Great Movie Ride (prepare ahead for the brief Alien bit)
Toy Story Mania
Beauty and the Beast live
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Fantasmic

Have fun!

My 7 Year old DD loves Toy Story mania as posted above. You will definitely want to FP this ride.

Also not sure if your DD still watches Disney Junior, but my DD loves Princess Sofia and Doc McStuffins still. The puppet show in the Disney Junior Live On Stage show has segments for both of these shows that was cute. We had to do the show last year when my DD was 6. You sit on floor mats for these shows...but my daughter still enjoyed the show. She is tall so did not have an issue seeing the stage.

Hollywood studios is a rope drop two hr park at best. Two story mania is nowhere as cool as buzz star command.

I think that can be argued either way. I personally love Buzz, but TSMM is way better for me. Also, there are a lot of great things for Hollywood Studios. It has become one of my favorites over the last year or so. For a 7 year old girl, I totally agree with the playhouse disney show! I thought it was very cute! Also, the voyage of the little mermaid and beauty and the beast are great.

The Muppets in Hollywood Studios is still a family favorite. My girls loved it every time we went, and 7 is a great age for it. Enjoy!

That is entirely subjective. We spend 2 full days there each trip. Between the shows and my son dragging us on Star Tours multiple times it takes that long to do everything we want to do.

But I totally agree that Buzz is cooler. We only do TSMM once each day with a FP. We'll stand in the standby line if we need to to ride Buzz.

My 7 year old priorities last year were, toy story, drawing class, muppets, star Tours, beauty and beast that would fill half a day......
