We'll be in WDW from Dec 25-30, and I understand this is the craziest  time of year to be in WDW. However I'm wondering if even with all craziness, we'll be able to do 1/2 day (if even that) Animal Kingdom and 1/2 day at MGM?

This is not our first time to WDW, and we were just there in February. So we're not worried about seeing EVERYTHING. On our last trip, I missed out on seeing Festival of the Lion King at AK and we'd like to ride EE again. Is it worth it to go to the park just for these two attractions?

I also should mention that this particular day is AM EMH for AK. So I thought we could get there at opening, do the 2 attractions and then head off to MGM. At MGM, we'd like to fit in Lights, Motors, Action show, Beauty & the Beast, Voyage of Little Mermaid, Osborne Lights, and ToT. I should also add that this day is PM EMH for MGM. I couldn't think of a better way to fit AK, and being that they offered AM EMH on this day, I thought it might work.

Our schedule (yes, I'm WDW obsessed) is as folllows:

Dec 25- MK
Dec 26- Epcot
Dec 27- AK am, MGM pm
Dec 28- DTD am, Epcot pm
Dec 29- MK

I should also say that we have non-park hopper tickets...so I'd need to add on the park hopper option to go to AK. Do you think this is worth it??

Thanks for your help!!

You may be able to accomplish this if you head right for EE right away
then do Lion King .

be out of that park by 10 and get to MGM because you have more
to do there you may fit it in if you do EE first then the lion King

you might even get fantasmic in if you want

take the bus for the animal kingdom lodge from AK then hop on the bus for MGM from there its only a few minutes bus ride to AKL this will really cut down you time traveling

You will not be able to see the Lion King show that early. It's first show is normally abour 9:40 so you will actually have a bit of time to wander before seeing the show. As to whether park hoppers are worth it depends on how much you want to see the show and ride EE. You will also be able to see the Christmas decorations. The other thing with park hoppers is that if MK or EPCOt is too crowded for you on the day you plan to be there you can always hop elsewhere.

The best way to travel between two parks is the bus between those 2 parks. You can board a bus for MGM right at the AK bus area.

Thanks for the replies!! :goodvibes

Well maybe we could get fast passes for Kilamanjaro Safari, go ride EE, and then use the fast passes to ride KS before seeing the Lion King Show. Well, that is if all goes smoothly...everything don't always go according to plans! I wouldn't mind have a little wait before the Lion King show and spending some time looking at decorations. If we're out of there by 10:30/11, I think we should be okay.

Do you think this sounds like too much stress?? :confused3

The thing about AK is that it's so big to walk around. I would go there just for EE and FOLTK...maybe arrive at open, head straight to EE, do that and go right over to FOLTK. You probably will have to do the 10:40am show of FOLTK though, but still, you could be out of the park by about 11:15am and then head over to MGM. -- Maybe take a bus from AK to the Beach Club or Boardwalk to save some time since they are the closest to MGM.

We are doing this the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I know we will head to EE first. We have to set down with a map and everyone to get our plan of attack. This is our non Disney vacation and staying offiste in a pool home. We are doing Epcot and MK on that Wednesday. There will be 5 adults and 3 kids and we will probably split up because not all three kids will ride the same rides. I'm sure that pool and spa will be very welcomed at the end of these long days.
