Out Bid 3 x in the late 5 mins. and went for £60 more than my top bid :guilty:

So sorry. :sad2:

I hope you get one soon, great camera! :thumbsup2

Out of curiosity, how much did it go for?? :yay:

that used to happen to me all the time when we had dial up..

do you bid form only certain sellers? i have heard a couple of not so good things about ebay lately ( like sellers putting in fake bids to raise the prices...there was just an article a week or so ago in our paper about it) so am kind of wishy washy now about it

You could try esnipe.com which allows you to bid at the last moment and not have to be tied to your computer. I have friends who are big eBay bidders and they always claimed that if they bid early that some sellers would bump up the bids to get more money. When they started using a service such as eSnipe that problem ceased since they waited until the end and just entered their maximum bid. I don't buy enough from eBay to warrant it but if I am going out of town or don't want to worry about missing an auction I can see where it could be good.

I use auctionsniper, my bid is submitted automatically with 30 seconds left in the auction, it's a great tool...

No wonder I never win any auctions! :teeth: These things do have their place especially when you have a conflict and cannot be by the computer when the auction ends.

I don't use it all the time, if I find something I want and I'm online at the time of the auction closing I prefer the 2 window method, one tofollow the final countdown and one set up with my final bid, so I can bid in the final seconds....

but in the case of something I want, and there are multiples on ebay, I'll set up a bid group with auctionsniper, so it will bid on all of them until I win one... right now I've been doing that for 2 weeks, the week before I started bidding the item was going for 30-40 dollars, since I decided to buy one they have all gone for 60 and up....sigh
