kellimomo3: I am with you with the Doc's...we plan on taking off snow mobiling for a couple of weeks over Christmas if all goes well and I don't want them sitting around if my house sitter doesn't make it there every day.

Do you know if you can have them deliver to a neighbour if we are not home?

Oh my Mark!!! 10 WEEKS!! I better get my act in gear and start doing a few more things to get ready. I am thinking with Christmas coming that has been what I've concentrating on. I want to get all that work done and then the trip but it is coming faster then I thought! Maybe I wouldn't have so much work if those darn kids wouldn't keep growing out of their cloths, perhaps we can shrink them! LOL :rotfl:

I told my TA that we would be in Florida before the cruise- and asked if she could arrange for the docs to come early because I didn't want to have them getting to the house the week before the cruise. We wouldn't get them if that happened! She let DCL know that we needed our docs delivered earlier. Don't know if that will actually happen- but you may want to do the same thing.

When we sailed last Nov. on a 3 day Wonder, we got our docs about 30 days ahead. Definately not anywhere near 60 days out, which is what my TA had told me. I was pretty anxious.

When they finally came, trip anticipation so helped me fill out all those ~2x5 cards as exactly as I could.

One suggestion I would make, have your ID's, Birth Certs, docs etc. bundled together BEFORE you leave the hotel. Especially when kids are involved, 'cause my kids were so excited when they saw the ship-between the jumping up :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc and down and the mouths going non-stop-I never would have strung together the thoughts, 'OK, now I need....' And you have to cross a busy street from the parking lot to the terminal. I'm not sure, but I believed they asked for my license right away inside the terminal doors. Honestly, it was all a blur. :earseek: until the kids sat down in the waiting area and watched cartoons while I finished checking in. God Bless those Disney Waiting Areas !!!! They really make vacations smoother.

Thanks for the advice on our documents! We are taking the DCL bus from the Hyatt in the morning so I am not sure what Docs we will need?? I am better to have our passports and everything all ready in my carry bag.

Glad to hear that the port has something to attract the kids attention because I am sure mine will be just busting with excitement.

Bill, thanks for the help. I was pre-emptive and contacted Amy on my own last week. This is for my August repo cruise, I think you father is also going. We have about 462 Disers already going. Amy told me that Rockin' Bar D or Studio C can hold up to 292 people and that might not be big enough!!

Bill- the name cards are designed!! No worries there!

Thanks so much Bigcat for putting that together. We're really looking forward to that.

Is anyone else bringing their own snorkel gear? Is there any tricks to packing it?

I'm leaning toward a gym bag right now, but wondering if there's another way.

my DH and I are bringing our own snorkle gear- but they come in their own cases, so i think I'll just put them in the suitcase. Who knows? We've NEVER snirkled a day in our lives!!! And haven't been swimming in who knows how long. I sure hope snorkling is an easy thing to do!!

You could always wear it onto the plane??:p I bet you'd get picked out for a "special" search though!...Mark

We are also bringing our own snorkle gear along other then the fins due to the sizes and travelling with them. We opted to bring out own since we'll use it again and our kids love to snorkle in the pool and at the cottage. Pauline

I think we should all bring our fins, masks and goggles to the DIS meet and have our picture taken! :teeth:

Ha! Ha! I think they take one look at me with three little boys and decide 'this woman has no time for nefarious...-ness' (Hey, new word!)

Anyway, we must be getting close, WDW hours for Jan. just came out! Kinda glad we're not going to be in the parks on the 15th! It must be a busy day.

Just got a killer deal on short wet suits for the boys locally. One with a broken zipper was $10 and I fixed the zipper! Woohoo!
I just hope they're allowed to wear them in other places besides the beaches if its cool weather. It would be too much to hope they could wear them at Blizzard Beach. Not with the zipper, but maybe the grotto at Swan and Dolphin? Or the Goofy pool? Probably not, but if so. My guys are fish! :fish: They see water, they want in!! :boat:

Question: What's the one thing everyone's looking forward to DOING? And the one thing everyone's looking forward to SEEING? (A little anticipation quiz!)

:flower1:

Good question Pershing!!

I am looking the most forward to seeing my kids faces when I tell them we are going!! But on the actual cruise I am looking forward to SEEING the Magic for the first time and DOING the parks the week before!!

Next........

Good Question!!! I am going to have to think about that one for a bit since there is so much I could write down! LOL

You know its funny I was just looking at where people have been for Disney and I wish I could get my husband to go. We have traveled almost all of Canada and to many different areas of the U.S. but not WDW. :sad1: When I mentioned this cruise to him he didn't even flinch he told the kids we were going before he even knew how much it would cost us. He loved the idea of cruising with the kids with Disney but do you think I can get him near WDW nooo way!! I am so glad he thought cruising would be wonderful. Just thinking out loud!!

Another question for people, why did you choose to cruise and why Disney??? Other then they're the BEST!! LOL

Personally, its because of Disney's positive attitude regarding Special Needs kids. They have such a 'Of Course We Can-We'll find a way to make it work attitude.'

That, in itself, is a vacation from the rest of the year, when you are dealing "Gee, I don't know...."

In fact, just ran into that with Camp Dolphin and Camp Little Rock (Universal). Guess which one said 'No Problem!':sunny:

(This is a post just to BUMP! back to first page)
:cool1:

I can't believe everything is planned for my trip! Priority Seatings, Air, Rental Car, Trip Insurance, Hotel Ressies, Park Tickets.

The only things left to do are wait for the cruise docs. and pack! Packings not my strong point. So I'm going to re-read all the suggestion threads.

From my last trip, I had a mental note to bring more bathing suits and less clothes. But with the trip in January, I'm not so sure if that philosophy should still be followed. Plus, we didn't really do the formal thing on the Wonder dining.

One thing I didn't do last time and would have been in trouble if anything happened was copy all my cards-credit, discount, etc. and tickets (front and back) park and/or airline tickets. And bring an extra photo id, just in case I lost mine.

I did bring extra color highlighters for the Navigators to differentiate between the kids stuff and mine. That worked well. And I brought a roll of 'thousand mile an hour' tape which I used a hundred different ways not the least to tape the navigator to the mirror so it wouldn't get buried.

I'm debating whether to bring back some of the souvenir stuff that we got last time like the kids wizards hats, mouse ears, my Pal Mickey -hoping that they'll be happy with those things and want less  probably dreaming on that score!

Just in case anyone hasn't already done so. Monday 11/15/04 is the 60 day mark. Final payment is due tomorrow...Mark

:scared: Packing....PACKING...did someone say that word!! I HATE this job more then anyone can imagine. We travel to the cottage so much you'd think I'd have it down to a science but NOOOOO!!!! LOL I have started a small cruise list and was wondering if we could share all our lists so that if we have forgot something then we could help each other out? This is our first cruise and I am sure I won't remember everything! What do you think?

Payed in full a couple of months ago Mark but great to have that reminder for those who haven't. Pauline
