Hi, we have FOTL access, but are only staying for 1 night. This leaves us with one full day in one park and opening to about 2:30 pm in another. Where would you spend most of your time? I will be traveling with my mother (62), daughter (12), son (10) and myself (40). We may or maynot be doing roller coasters, depending on whose feeling brave that day!! This is our first trip.

Our plane leaves MCO at 5:30 and we are staying on HRH. I figure w/check out and car return rental, we should be back at the HRH by 3:00 pm to checkout??

THanks!!

Hi kathy,

Don't forget you can park hop on the same day (I'm assuming you have a multi-day ticket). But it's hard to say which park you'll want to spend more time at. Universal has more attraction/show type things and IOA is more ride oriented. Both parks have some fun places to get wet if you and the kids want to. I would really suggest you spend some time on the http://universalstudios.com website. You can get an overview of the parks. If you like to read I would suggest Kelly Monaghan's Book "universal studios Orlando, the ultimate guide to the ultimate theme park". It has a detailed description of every attraction in the park.

You might want to allow yourself a little more time for the airport. 1/2 hr for the drive to airport,
15min for rental car return,
1 hr for security
extra time if you're checking in bags (1/2 hr?),
plane boards around 5pm, So if these estimates are resonable you'd need to leave the hotel by 2:45("might want to check with the board "locals" on the drive time )

Thanks for the information!! Which park has more water rides? I don't think I want to be wet going to the airport! I guess we will park hop on the 1st day and leave the more relaxing shows for "airport day". THanks again!:D
