1:00 AM arrival for ME..What would you do?

Would you have ME take care of your luggage or just collect it yourself at baggage claim? We are traveling from Cali. and won't be landing into MCO untill 1:00 am. My DH is worried about our luggage... I am not looking forward to dragging my sleepy 3yr old & cranky 13yr old to baggge then to ME counter but DH is leery of thief or our bags not showing up till ???that day.

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

I'm not sure he has much to fear about theft. The bags won't be sitting out in public somewhere. They'll be transferred from MCO to your resort by truck. I'll assume you'll ask your resort Bell Services to NOT deliver your bags in the middle of the night; in that case, your bags will be stored by Bell Services until normal waking hours. Bell Services stores bags all the time.

Some people are not trustful and are not comfortable when others are holding their things. If your husband will be so uncomfortable, you'll probably have less discomfort retrieving your own luggage; that discomfort will last only a few minutes, but your husband's discomfort will last for hours, until you are reunited with your luggage. Vacation should be about enjoying, not about stressing. I loved the luggage handling aspect of DME. But if he's uncomfortable with it, why use it, KWIM?
