I think DCL needs to get rid of their web design guys and hire Junior, Milford & Wally. Their online system STINKS!!!!!!!! It took me 7 hours to get a reservation today because the online system kept locking up!!! WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT!!!!!?????? If I weren't trying to book it for such great people, I would have just given up!

You have found the secret of business success, brown-nose the customer at every opportunity :thumbsup2

I wonder if it's for The Villas At Grand Floridian? :confused3

Oooooo!!!! I Hope it is, I hope it is! Plans have been submitted for the area and they include a new parking lot, 6 story building with a walkway that goes directly to the GF

Hello to all of you. I chimed in 7 threads ago but have not come back till now. with less the 2 months to go I thought I would join this great Disney cruise crowd and ask questions.
I will introduce myself again. My name is Sandy and I am bringing along my hubby and another couple. This is both our first DVC Disney cruise. I am full of questions. been reading alot and been on the dis Facebook page trying to find info out.
Is there a formal night?
What kind of gifts will we get each day. anybody have pictures to share?
How about Disney Photo pas for the ship? or any info on picture taking?
And as I read I understand all tips are included in our cruise price,Right?
thanks for helping out and letting me join in.

Hi Sandy :wave2: I know your questions were answered but I wanted to say hello and welcome back to the thread :goodvibes

The 'Vacation With Character' event was nice. They talked about the changes taking place at WDW & DCA and as part of that, they mentioned how many points it would take to stay at either BLT or VGC in a 1-bedroom for 7-nights during magic season. They talked about Aulani and how many points for a 1-bedroom there also. They talked a little about DCL and the new home ports and the new park currently under construction in Shanghi. What was nice is they made very little mention of RCI and the rest of the World Passport options.

After the presentation was over (about 40 minutes), they had Mickey & Goofy on stage if you wanted to go up and see them. We skipped them and got in to the first group to see the model rooms. After the models, they had food setup. There was a pasta & chicken salad, veggies & dip, make your own strawberry short cake & strawberry angel food cake and cupcaked (chocolate & white). At this point you could meet with a guide if you wanted to add-on. They also passed out a $40 AMC Gift Card (one per family).

Sounds cool! Did they give out any non expiring Fast Passes??? They offered them to those adding on during our May cruise. I SO want some of those :goodvibes

Carmouse- For the premeet- what time are you thinking? I believe this is the 17th. We are doing the Wild Trek in am then Meeting a work colleague at AK. Our evening is planned for Hoop.

Maybe 3:30 - 4ish? Whatever works best for the group.

I did not want to go too early and rip apart the day for park-goers, yet not too late so family people can come around. I am thinking if we start late afternoon then people can hang around for a couple of hours, then leave if they have dinner or other plans, those that remain or come later perhaps we could grab dinner somewhere like ESPN and then see what else is going on.

We could even take a walk over to Epcot or Beach or Yacht Club if people wanted...

Everyone give me input and we will mold a meet out of it ;)

Extremely frustrated  - two months from sail-away and I still don't know if we're joining you! DVC was no help at all!

Oh geez that's definitely frustrating. Hopefully you will get called to go on soon. It did happen last year last minute for several that were on the WL. Here is some pixiedust: for you.

Sometimes there will be a large piza with two small coming out of the conveyer oven at the same time andd I'll say "A Hidden Mickey!" and everyone stares at me funny!:confused3
They just don't get it!!

Wally and I find "Hidden Mickeys" in everyday life too. I never care who gets it. As long as we do, I'm good with that :goodvibes

Watched the season premier of Breaking Bad last night and it was...

AWESOMESAUCE!!!

You know, I watched a few episodes of season one and simply couldn't get into it. I might have to give it another shot because I am constantly hearing how good it is. Now, I'm holding my breath for the new season of Dexter :lovestruc

silly question. we just got an owners locker. we should have it at okw before the cruise. can i take it w/ on the ship and return it at the end of the beach club stay?

I am almost positive I read somewhere on the DVC boards here on the DIS that you can. I know I have seen it on a trip report that included a pre and post cruise stay at WDW.
