Believe it or not, I am a graduate of the Skip Barber School of Motor Sports. It was my dream growing up that I could be the first female to win the Indy 500. So, I am of the feeling that real race cars have no doors. However I have mellowed as drivers go from series to series and I was not happy with the events in Indy car (CART) racing. So I have lost some of my true feelings about the sport and I will actually watch NASCAR.

Luckily, Michael feels the same way I do, so we don't have to fight over watching racing!!

I too Like Tony Stewart, I also like Mark Martin and Ricky Rudd who no longer races.

See growing up in Indiana I lived Indy 500, my granfather got to see 48 consecutive races till he was of no condition to go to the track. He passed from us back in 2001. I have been trying to carry on and have seen 29 consecutive races.

I also watch Nascar, but have no desire to watch Formula 1 as the guy that runs the series is an idiot. We had a good Formula 1 race here but their poor choice of tires one year caused him to lose his butt on the next years race due to the outcry from the fans so he pulled out of the F1 race in Indy.

Looks like next year they are moving the Nationwide race to the Brickyard to join the Sprint Cup race. It used to be run at the old IRP (Indianapolis Raceway Park) now called Lucas Oil Raceway Park. Should be interesting running a roadcourse race during the day on Saturday, Sprint Cup Qualifying that morning, and the Nationwaide race that night. :scared1:

Did you see this? I think it looks pretty cool and useful too!

I want one of those AND the keyboard case attachment for the iphone!!!! Hear that Junior?! :lmao:

Not too shabby. We drove up and visited with our oldest at camp. Have I mentioned how lucky this kid is?

Apparently, he was jogging down one of the trails, tripped, rolled down the side of the steep rocky hill, hit a big rock with both his knees, rolled over the rock and finally came to slamming stop and had everything burst out of his pockets. He said it was epic. He's got scrapes and scratches all over him, but he didn't break anything. If it had been me, I would have broken my neck. :confused3

OMG...that sounds like a NASTY fall! I'm glad he's ok!

It just took me an hour to catch up on over 20 pages on this thread! Thank goodness the last three pages were just smilies from Wally! :thumbsup2 That makes for REALLY fast reading!

Yesterday was fun, though. Hung out with DD all day at the water park. Then went to my mom's to watch the fireworks in Wanatah, IN. That was fun until my brother showed up. I love him...he's my brother, but OMG he is soooo annoying!!!! He has been withdrawn from society far too long. (Hasn't driven in ten years and doesn't get out much at all!) So he doesn't know how to behave in public. It's really really embarrassing. So, we left right after the fireworks....which was kind of sad for me because I like hanging out with my mom and my sister, but Junior had a headache and I was starting to get one (from my brother's obnoxious behavior), so we came home and watched Source Code.

I'm still not sure what we're doing today!!! :sad2: I've been trying to make plans with my sisters for my dad's b-day for a week now....still nothing. So, maybe I'll just forget about it! :sad2:

It's so beautiful outside this morning. The sun is shining and it's warm. I think I'll go have a bowl of cereal out on the back deck and pretend like I'm at WDW or on the Dream. :lmao:

Maybe I'll get dressed and go outside and read the paper since you said it was nice out. Tim took his car for an oil change so I'm on my own for awhile!

Good morning, everybody!
Maybe I'll get dressed and go outside and read the paper since you said it was nice out. Tim took his car for an oil change so I'm on my own for awhile!
We are driving up to Mt. Horeb for lunch at The Grumpy Troll and to visit the Duluth Trading Company store. Wanna come up there? Either you, or you and Tim? We are meeting Michael, Nancy, Laura, and Jim there. Decide fast... We are supposed to be there at noon!

Ok my agenda today, shower, Sam's Club, some yard work, tan, clean a little, then read a little, time with hubby... I should have posted that individually and ran up more posts..:rotfl:
