SLACKER! :lmao:

I was just kidding about the "Slacker" comment. :goodvibes

So, I'm a total and complete moron! I thought my cousin's open house was TOMORROW night. Turns out it's TONIGHT!!!!!!! Umm......OOPS!!!!!!!!!! So, now I'm not sure if we'll be going. Junior's at work and the kids are outside playing with their friends. What to do....what to do!? I sure wish I'd have double checked the invitation earlier in the week. DOH!!!!!!

I think people who voluntarily go into the service are some of the most special human beings this country could ever hope for. It's what makes us stand above the rest. No brain washing, no ideology just purely for dedication to this great country and personal development. People like your son are national treasures. I have paid for a soldiers lunch from time to time when the opportunity arose. I wish he were on the member cruise cause I would definitely buy him a Konk Kooler to say THANK YOU. This isn't lip service or something you should say to be politicaly correct, I feel this way to my core. There is no way I could do what a soldier does. It's just not in my makeup. Therefore I have the utmost respect for what he and others have done and are still doing for us. I am so happy for you that he has made it home safely and Please send him my heartfelt appreciation.

Junior,
Thank you so much for the kind words. And I will pass them along to him, you bet. Some people told me, while he was over there, that because he was with the USACE that he wasn't a "fighting soldier", but I think he had just as important job there as anyone else, and was in just as much danger as any of our troops were and are everyday. He may not have been on the front line, but he did his job, and I'm like you, I don't think I could have done it either. He could have come home after his first six months, but he said he needed to finish what he started and want to stay. It mad me crazy and proud all at the same time. There were many close calls that he would tell me about weeks later (thank goodness). But thankfully he came home in one piece.
So I guess that why your words are so touching to me, because you appreciate what he and everyone serving has done. Thank you so much for caring like you do.
And if you really want to buy the Konk Kooler, I'll be happy to drink it for him - in his honor of course . . . :rotfl: :lmao:

Thanks again - Sue :)

Ok - I'm going to have to talk to that girl!!!;)

He claims that he doesn't sleep as well without me in the bed. So if I sleep on the couch...I'm HOPING he's not sleeping very well in the bed. Most of the time I treat it like a slumber party with the kids when I sleep on the couch. :lmao: So he's just missing the party! :rotfl2:

So, I hurried up and went to my cousin's open house tonight. I'm glad I did...we had a good time. Got to see some relatives I haven't seen in a really long time.

Talking about WINE. We live in the heart of WINE COUNTRY here in NIAGARA ON THE LAKE. There are vineyards all around us . I enjoy my wine. I will bring a map of all the wineries when we come on the cruise.
