Good morning all and sooooo happy it's Thursday!

I just wanted to stop in and say "howdy". I have been quite busy lately but needed to "check-in" :cool2:

Enjoy your day! :wave2:

Happy Friday Eve & Cinco de Mayo!!!:banana::banana:

The same back atcha! I hope you get a chance to enjoy some festivities with your charming and beautiful wife. (you don't have more than one, right? I do not need Terrie getting annoyed at me for anything besides the shark...)

HAPPY THURSDAY! :cool1:

I thought I would pass this along:

Interesting spread...

Hellmann's Mayonnaise - a bit of history.

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England.
In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera
Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New
York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico.

But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank,
and the cargo was forever lost. The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were
eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that
they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day.

The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as -

Sinko De Mayo.

WHAT??? You expected something educational from me?

Perhaps You need a shot of Tequila

Yup! My grandparents and my mom fled Cuba in the 50's before Castro took power and overthrew Batista. I was born in California, but dont really remember it much. Been in FL most of my life :cool2:

I don't know if I said this before. I saw a very good movie starring Andy Garcia called "The Lost City" and it was about a club owner dealing with the change from Batista to Castro. I highly recommend that to you or anyone else who hasn't seen it. I watched that and a Castro documentary back to back and gained a lot of insight. I still don't know why people here in America hold Che Guivara in such high regard. :confused3 I'm just glad that your grandparents decided to make the trip.
