I agree Ian! Too bad the Potter clan gathered yesterday..Especially since we are split evenly between Packer fans(Yay) and *sigh Bears fans.

OK...spoke with Doorway to Dreams today. A date that most likely will work for them is Saturday, February 26th. Derek, my guy, said we could/should come in early, before the doors open to the public, so we can get some quality/uninterrupted time. They open at 10AM so Derek said around 8-8:30AM.....I chose 8:30AM. Basically, here is how it would work...

*Breakfast "refreshements" will be served
*Freebies will be given away
*Play games/trivia with prizes
*Presentation (not a sales pitch, however he will let us know of incentives)
*Videos might be shown
*Pin Trading
*Tour the store and models of BLT
*Kids Club is provided for those who want to bring children....must be potty-trained though. (Sorry, Lilly)


I told Derek that we are all DVC Members going on this year's cruise so he said he would make it "cruise-themed" and a lot of fun. I told him any "inside" information or video/pics he could give us about the Dream would be awesome!! He also wants me to ask you all if there is anything you would like to see or do while there. Any suggestions for activities or anything??? Let me know. I thought we could all go to the Disney Store afterward and then out to lunch.....if interested.

The exact date is not set in stone, but I just wanted to update you. Please let me know, if you haven't already, if you will be attending. As I need to give them a number. Thanks!!!!

Kelly, I will be there with the same condition.. as long as the weather is not bad. Unfortunately, Jim, my DH will not be. The WIAA wrestling tournament is that weekend and he has to work to earn Disney $. I had the Thursday and Friday on the calendar, but not the Saturday.

DW and I were getting off the Magic WBTA on the day of reservations - walking around the Magic trying to get through to DVC! We never did make it through (even trying all day while at the Orlando Oktoberfest). I finally got on the wait list on the following Monday.

We'd really like to join you on the Dream!

Good Morning, Michael and Michele! I think we heard at least one who had gotten on through the wait list, but it's still early. Last time when we were on the SSMC09, we had people join our group that got on in June, so don't give up hope!

Stay tuned here, this is a nice group of folks and we'd love to have you join us!

I think one or two have had their waitlist come thru already. Last year we were waitlisted until a couple of months prior to sailing. I seem to remember something about 120 days out being the last chance to cancel without losing any money/points, so I would expect several openings at that time.

Hang in there, and feel free to chat with us until then!

Good Morning everyone!! Happy MLK day!! Off school today and getting ready to go to Honda to discuss buying a new car. Not a fun thing to do. We are looking at a 2011 Honda Accord. I hate spending money....unless it is on Disney or anything Disney related. This car is NOT related, as we will not be driving it down to Disney. Oh well, wish us luck.

We are one of the lucky ones that had the wait list come through. We were able to finally get through on that crazy Saturday revervations day, but the cruise sold out while the CM was getting our info. We got wait listed at that time. We got the call from Disney the end of October that they had a place for us. I am sure more wait listers will get on board, so hang in there and let us know when your phone call to board comes.

Happy MLK Day everyone! Like everyone else, I am really happy to have a day off but let’s remember the reason for this holiday. I know that this was a hard fought battle to make MLK Day a National Holiday but that battle was nothing compared to the one he had to face daily. Our nation and the world owe a debt to that man and the least we can do is take a moment today and remember him.
