Chuck went to let the dogs out & I heard him say oh sh t. We have heavy metal outdoor furniture which we thought we secured and one was in our pool. My neighbors tree is down across the main street into our development. My flowers in a large flower box are now horizontal. The worse part of the storm,the eye, is not here yet. Our lights are blinking but still on. Ian don't worry the coffee pot still is on !!!

The eye of the storm is actually calm but after it passes the backside of the hurricane comes. The winds and rains are gonna blow the opposite direction which is what causes most of the damage. Stay safe and wait for it to pass. We are keeping all in harms way in our thoughts and prayers

Is it just me, or was it really silly of them to keep a big tent up in the middle of a hurricane? That's exactly what I would expect it to look like after that kind of a storm.

I know...I was thinking "they had PLENTY of notice that the storm was coming, were they in denial about it?" I hope everyone was safe.

If they have to dredge, there's a good chance we aren't getting on the island.

I knew he wasn't home, but I couldn't remember where he was. I'd be willing to bet the hurricane messes up his travel plans for coming home! I hope I'm wrong though!!!

Well, we got our garage all cleaned out. It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it was going to! Now I need to run to Goodwill. I had a bunch of stuff stored out in the garage because my DMIL said she was going to have a garage sale this summer and never did. So I guess what I was going to put in the garage sale is now going to Goodwill!

Then later today I'm going through DS's old clothes and will be listing them on Craigslist. I'm so done with Ebay....haven't had any luck with them the last few times I tried to sell clothes. Oh well. If all else fails, I guess those will be going to Goodwill as well. But his clothes are like BRAND NEW since he grows so fast!


Hope everyone on the East Coast is staying safe and now that Irene has been downgraded to a TS, I hope the damage isn't as bad as originally anticipated for those who are still in her path.

Doing fantabulous! When we came back from Anaheim, I realized how happy I was, that when I have a trip planned I love my job even better, because it helps me get to see Mickey and his friends.

We did the "whatever you want to cook for us, we'll eat" menu. He totally customized our meals for us. It was a really great experience!

the Vinter's menu had everything I liked except the spicy part (I can't do spicy-I break out), so the chef customized that part and made the yummy scallop for me.
